Beautifully made!
My grandson is fascinated by my husband’s ukulele, so we wanted to get him one of his own. We were looking for something well-made but not too expensive (because he’s only 2!), and decided on this after reading reviews. It is absolutely beautiful, sounds good, and, most importantly, he loves it!

Excellent uke!!
Compared to another soprano ukulele I have which I also like, this has a deeper body and is a touch longer with more frets. The tuners on this are very easy to turn and a little turn goes a long way. It has pegs for straps. Case is fine. Most importantly, the sound is sublime and has way more resonance than my other one. Quite possibly the best deal on a soprano uke at the time of writing this. Strung with Aquila strings even.

Review from a guitarist
First things first, if you can, get GHS nylon (soprano/concert) strings for this ukulele. The strings that come with this uke are pretty thick, and can be hard to press down and strum for beginners, or just anyone used to a mellower, Hawaiian ukulele sound. Also when you tune nylon strings, tune them up about half or a full step up overnight. That should stretch them out and prevent them from detuning mid-song on a quality stringed instrument.Whenever I recommend stringed instruments for beginners, I usually tell them to get something inexpensive that stays in tune, and that you can play for a while without experiencing hand fatigue (there's no point in getting an instrument that looks cool, but is unplayable). Those are the criteria that I use to usually critique beginner ukuleles.Things I like about this uke:- Beautiful and sturdy construction. From the tuner knobs to the bridge, there was obviously a lot of thought that went into constructing the instrument, and making sure it would be enjoyable to look at and sound nice when you played it.- Lots of nice accessories for the beginner: a gig bag with pouch, a tuner, some picks, a strap!, and other stuff- For the price point, the neck construction is easy on the fretting hand- Tuners are easy to useThings I don't love:- Word salad in the instructions, aka sloppy English translation- High string action or thick strings. I'm used to playing a Tangi soprano ukulele with GHS Nylon strings. I strum that thing hard with a claw grip, and it has no resistance. This uke is a bit harder to play because I can't just dig in and strum out of the box.- Tuners might need some white chalk dust to provide the necessary friction to stay in tune- I don't love the mahogany plywood. At this price point, it's not really an issue, but for my needs, it's not great. (Just an FYI, you can nab quality vintage ukuleles made of solid koa for around $400-500 online)Overall, I think this is a really nicely designed $50 ukulele, and would recommend it to people who want to begin playing uke, although with the change of strings as a caveat. I think I'll eventually give this one away to niblets--I'm building my own collection of quality ukes, and there isn't a lot of incentive for me to keep a beginner's uke that isn't made of solid wood. Plus more uke players is always a good thing. :)

Better than my own!
I purchased this for my little one as he has a budding interest. It was affordable and not much more than a toy version which you cannot tune and is usually made of cheaper materials. I have tuned it up for him and played a test song, and it has better resonance than my own ukulele! I kind of wish it was for me :) I’m very pleased with the quality, it’s beautiful and slightly smaller than my own. Just right for a little guy just starting out, and I doubt he’ll outgrow it as it is a nice soprano.

Craftsmanship in great
Many people complained that it didn't come tuned or they couldn't keep it tuned. I got mine and tried to use the digital string tuner that came with it. Couldn't tune it. I used my Snark tuner on it and it works geat. It just comes with a cheap tuner. I plan on using this Ukulele as a trainer when I travel. Its small and out of the way.

Great choice at this price point
High quality bag and ukulele, came with everything that was described (extra strings, beginners book, strap, tuner). Has no problems staying in tune which is a big plus at this price range.

Hard to keep tuned
Although I was willing to deal with how easily it became untuned, it came with a booklet that literally mentioned it as a con so I wasn't planning to, as a beginner with any instrument, deal with it due to how little I know about how an instruments supposed to sound. It really did come untuned every five minutes or so. However, it's really pretty and I did enjoy all of the things it came with, like the tuner and strap, although they provided the wrong picks.
