Thugs (Thugs and the Women Who Love Them) Paperback – July 17, 2017

I am an African American young woman, age 24, and I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I've read the second book in the series and that one is amazing as well! Wahida is an amazing author! I love how she references music song titles and artists to give more of a vibe and more imagery. I've started a playlist of all the songs she references on my Apple Music and I must say, not only is Wahida an amazing author she's also a pretty good DJ! lolThis book is fast paced with many twists and turns. The characters are lovable and relatable. We all have a few girlfriends who share many of the characteristics and habits (good or bad) of the women in this series! MUST READ!!

First off let me just say that I'm a huge fan. I read "Every Thugs Needs a Lady" a few years ago, and never new there was a series. I'm a book worm and can/will read a good book in one day. I started this book Sunday around 6pm, and finished it around 9pm. This book will have you locked in and zoned out while reading it. You will not want to put it down. Since I've already read "Every Thug Needs a Lady" this book " Thugs and The Women Who Love Them" answered a lot of questions. Like Jaz and her criminal charges, and a lot of other things that I was lost on. I ordered the whole series and I'm reading through every day. I start them, and be done with them in the next few hours. I love the books and the writer.

I thought this would be more like a how-to book (IDK why) but it was more of a story about the same relationship trouble. Maybe someone else will like it. It wasn't for me.

This is the first book that I've read written by Wahida Clark. I had to show the lady some love and can't wait to read the next series.

Many characters to keep up with in this first book but a good book I must say. Lots of drama with some twist to hold my attention. so here goes Kyra is very much in love with Tyler I assume but here comes jailbird Marvin (is this her true love) lol and is going to school to be a psychologist, will I see her as a therapist only the end of this series will determine that, now you have to read to find out. Angel in love with a pimp but attending school to be an atty, what's wrong with that picture. huh???? Jaz and Faheem, girl of a drug dealer who is in prison now seeing his friend....Now alll this chics need to see somebody. We are looking at a Princeton doctor. What held my interest is the lifestle Jaz was living in order to maintain, got caught up now will Faheem stick with this relationship. Time for part 2. 4.5 stars

I’ve been rereading this series over 5 years it’s my favorite series. This was the first series that got me in to reading heavy, and it has become my favorite. I think it will grab anyone’s attention and make them want to read the entire series. Lol I literally finished this series in one week. Lol if you judging just read it yourself and see🤷🏾‍♀️😂

This book packed a punch. Action , lust, character development, plot movement, drama, and alpha men made this story one that I could not stop listening to for one second. I listed on audible and Cary Hite as expected brought Wahida's word to life. The characters and situation had a ring of truth and realness to them that made you connect with them even if none of this is in your background.

Already a fan of Wahida Clark. However, that Macklin series needs to continue for me. They need a movie.

I read this book in a day. It is a story about four women Kyra,Angel, Roz and Jaz, and their relationships with the men in their life who are thugs. All the women are trying to make life better for themselves, by going to school. This was my first time reading Wahida Clark, and found the beginning of the book difficult with Angel's man Snail who is a pimp, and very violent.I got past that, and the rest of the book was great.

This book is a must read. Excellently written by an obviously talented author. I enjoyed every page and the style of writing. The book seems realistic and really paints vivid images in your head (its like watching a movie). However, the ending of the book really bugs me and left me thinking there has to be a part two. I am now a big fan of Ms Wahida Clark. A book worth reading!!!!!

I loved this book. It was light reading, entertaining and definitely a page turner. It was well written and was easy to follow and get into and I liked that it just jumped straight into the story without a lot of beating around the bush. Would recommend to anyone who likes urban fiction

fantastic read i cannot wait to read through them all.
