Toilet Riser : Grande

We bought 2 of the Grande size for elongated toilets. We installed the 1st one today. (Photos included here.)My knees cause me great pain lowering myself, and rising off, the toilet. Especially our low-boy toilet which we now HATE the low height but didn’t want to spend the money on a new toilet. Then, I came across these toilet risers. And wow, no more pain getting on, or rising off the toilet!!!!You can install it with the longer side forward of the toilet as we did, or to the back where it’s more hidden. We choose to put the long side forward of the toilet in order for our grandkids to step up on, and we find it comfortable to rest our heels while we sit. At first I was afraid we might bump our feet on it and stumble, but it’s not that far forward to be in the way. Although it’s plastic, it’s very heavy duty. Holds 500 pounds, and is quite sturdy; doesn’t rock, sag, or move in any way after installation. It’s perfect.It was easy enough to install, except hubby & I are not spring chickens anymore, and the lifting of the toilet off the floor, and then lifting to set it on the riser was the only difficult part.This is worth every penny! EVERY PENNEY!

When my tall father moved into the Senior Living Community, his toilet was regular height & thus too short for him. This was recommended by the maintenance man, who installed it for us. (You’ll either need some skills or a plumber/handyman to help).Soooo glad I bought this. It raises the toilet from the bottom, meaning I don’t need to clean eliminations that might get on a seat raiser that goes on top of the bowl, and won’t be wiggly or giggly like a seat riser - once it’s there, it’s not going anywhere.I haven’t regretted a penny of the money I spent on this.

I wanted a toilet riser for my elderly mom that wouldn’t slide all over the place every time she sat down. The Toilevator seemed the perfect solution because it allows the toilet height to rise from the bottom rather than from an unstable seat addition on top. My only problem was that when I ordered it, I didn’t realize it came in two sizes. A toilet is a toilet, right? Wrong! My house was new (to me) and I replaced the toilets, not realizing the modern toilets had a much longer (front to back) base. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to “install” the Toilevator until after the return period had expired. It was then that I realized it came in two sizes, and that I needed the larger size. I ordered it and was able to install it myself with a little extra muscle necessary to lift the toilet. My mom loves it and it looks so much cleaner/nicer than the alternative products that sit on top of the toilet bowl! Highly recommend!

This product was installed with a Kohler K-3493-0 which brought the height of the toilet rim to about 21 inches. This is about even with my wheelchair which makes transfers easier. So far it seems stable, solid, no rocking motion of the toilet, and no leaks. But I have only been using it for a few days, so if it has problems I'll edit this review. I knocked off one star because of the price, which I think is absurdly high. But the only competitor to this was about the same price. I should also mention that the handyman who installed it, found the screws too short, so he had to use an extender. This may be because of the thickness of the tile floor it was installed on.

I of course like most read other reviews before my purchase. What I learned years ago "you get what you pay for." So I went with this model because it had all the parts needed for an easy installation. I'm 5'9" and 190 lbs. so stability/weight was very important factor for me. (Up to 300 lbs.) Most of my relatives are 6' to 6' 5" and know they will appreciate the enhancements made.It worked perfect in my main small 6' x 8' bathroom I recently had updated especially by my sink where I extended it by 12" in length.Highly recommend this if you ever need height to your toilet vs. having those risers that sit on top of a toilet!!! More sanitary for the family and your friends to all use.

Just what we needed. My dad is able to get off the toilet by himself. It puts his hips above the level of his knees, so this plus a grab bar on his good side, is enough help for independence. He's recovering from a shoulder injury that will have him essentially one armed for a couple of months so we couldn't go with anything that relied on using both hands to grip bars/handles to lift or pull himself up.I got the white one in the bigger size and it matches his toilet and looks fine in the bathroom, which is a nice plus but not really a priority under the circumstances. Can't comment on installation as I had our regular handyman install it, but he did say he didn't have any trouble.

I had tried several styles of toilet risers and was not happy-ugly. Looked at tall toilets and they were either not tall enough or WAAAYYY too expensive. Browsing through Amazon, I came upon the toilevator. After reading reviews and measuring the lenght of the base, I decided to try the Grande. It was perfect. It came with everything needed and my contractor said it was very easy to install. Looks great, not like an "old people's" bathroom.

Purchased this for my mom she loves this it was so hard for her to sit lower on a regular toilet and to purchased a new toilet was not what we wanted to do due to price. So i found this extender and boy does this work!! Hit took the entire toilet up to where it is so much easier for her to sit and to stand back up with out someone helping her!! Love love love this!! Oh and this came super fast!!
