Seems a good value for the price, have it tailored for the best price / fit combination.
This is a thoughtfully and cleverly designed kayak cover, for a reasonable price. The reasonable price comes from the fact that this cover is meant to adjust to fit a wide range of boats, so while you can cinch it up and keep it well attached to your boat, it's not something that you are going to find cut to precisely conform to your specific boat for a glove-fit. In my case for example, on the kayak for which I bought this, the adjustment leaves a lot of extra material bunched up and, of course, susceptible to flap in the wind.IF you can't be satisfied with this kind of one-size-fits-most / off-the-shelf fit, a good approach would be to order this cover anyway, and then take it and your boat to a GOOD local canvas man, and let him tailor this cover to fit. Based on my experiences with getting canvas work done for other, larger boats I own, I reckon a good canvas guy can tailor this cover for less than $100 so that you'd end up with a perfect fit and possibly added improvements to how it attaches to your specific boat. I also figure that it if you had one custom-made from scratch, it would run $400 or more for comparable quality; --SO, by going this route of having the off-the-shelf cover tailored, you would end up with less windage and more stick-to-it-ive-ness at a bottom line cost significantly less than having one custom-made from scratch.

There is probably a good reason why the manufacturer does not place the opening ...
These covers are replacements for two Danuu covers I purchased 4 years ago for my kayaks which are stored outside year around. The old covers began to tear with minor provocation. These covers are designed to me used with the kayak sitting up right which means the cockpit becomes a sink for snow and rain. Being from Maine I originally placed inverted lobster pots in the seats to counter this but later used sticks placed lengthwise across the cockpit to form a tent the precipitation could slide off although this solution also has its issues. Most recently I have been storing the kayaks upside down but am now worried about water collecting in the skeg well. There is probably a good reason why the manufacturer does not place the opening along the side so that the boats could be stored on their sides resolving both of these issues.

Quality and features were just what I was looking for in a storage, but not travel cover.
After a carport fire that left me without storage for my 14' kayak I bought this to cover my boat at a marina in open kayak rack storage. I wanted to protect my boat from the sun as well as disguise it. I also have a 15.5' boat that will wear this cover in the winter. I am very impressed with the quality of the material. The cover is well sewn together and the straps on the bow and stern ends easily adjust the cover from the 15.5 to the 14. It is not a snug fit, so if you are looking for a travel cover look elsewhere or get a custom tailored one. However, for storage purposes the quality and fit are exactly what I was looking for at a reasonable price. I would buy another one if needed. Be sure to compensate for a rudder in the cover length. The 14-16' accommodated my 15.5 rudder with ease. If you have a 16' boat, you may need to size up. I was lucky that one size fit both of my boats.

P.O.S. don't buy.
These covers are not worth the money. This is our second Danuu cover. Our first one started tearing at the seams where the belts attached to the canvas. Our thought was, well maybe we tighten the cover straps too tight. The cover eventually ripped and needed to be replaced.Bought the second one through Amazon in June 2019. Most off we use the cover on longer trips in the summer. The rest of the year it is folded in the garage. it has been used on three long trips between northern California and Washington and BC. On the third trip, this July, the cover ripped where the kayak rudder is set. It is ruined. Kaput! An ex-cover.Sent a support message and pictures 2 weeks ago. Not a word back.DO NOY BUY THESE COVERS!

Poor fit.
Poor fit for a 12 ft fishing kayak. Being a fishing kayak, it is 34" wide, which Danuu indicated would require the "Dude" size which is 14-16 ft long. They apparently do not have a cover to accomodate a 12-13 ft kayak that is wide enough to stand and fish on.

Four Stars
We use it on our dock not on a car.

Poor UV Durability
Only 1.5 years old and falling apart, doesn’t hold up to sun exposure, disappointing given cost of cover. Not sure what duration of warranty is?

I have only put it on my kayak once, it is too cumbersome to deal with and much too large for my 15.5 ft kayak.
