Simple
Today was the first day of using this little gem. After fighting with my brand new SanDisk because it is not a user friendly device, I decided to buy this inexpensive, simple mp3 player. I only use it when I run, so it was wonderful. I won't be putting on the silicon protective cover, but it's nice to have. Great price, too.

So far, so good
Being that mp3 players are scarce now, especially those that are compact and have a clip, you don't have many options. This one does the job. I've used it for months, and it has held up. The main thing is that it works and hasn't died quickly like other similar products I've tried. The battery life holds up well - long play time with little charge. I use this for running. Headphones stay in place. Has good sound. I gave it 4/5 for two reasons. 1: The random feature isn't great. It basically makes one random playlist and stays in that order (not a huge deal, but not truly random). 2: Because it doesn't have bluetooth. If this device had bluetooth, it would be the best of the best, b/c right now, no such thing exists (that works). I hope it lasts. - Gregory Bullock, author of HISTORY IN FEWER WORDS, Vol. 1: The History of the World

Better than iPod shuffle in almost every way
EDIT: 2 years of every other day running year-round, and it is still going strong and still holds a charge. Unfortunately 2 years of sweat dripping into the headphone jack has corroded the contacts, so I have to twist the headphone plug a few times to get stereo. You may not have this problem if you don't sweat as much as me! I just bought another of the same item to replace it.I've also noticed an issue that may be responsible for some other complaints about battery life: When you charge the device and then unplug it from the charger, it is left in the ON setting. If you put it away in a drawer without remembering to switch it OFF, it will drain the battery (no auto-shutoff).---I am a 57 year old music lover and trail runner. My third iPod shuffle bit the dust and since they're discontinued I decided to try the Agptek G02. I wanted something tiny and easy to control without having to read an LCD display.Reliability: The iPod shuffle was made of metal and you could probably run over it with a car without breaking it, while the Agptek is plastic. Nonetheless it seems to be well made and has given me no issues in 1-1/2 months of use trail running in hot weather. The silicon skin is a great idea and seems to be effective at keeping sweat out of the unit, so I'm hoping it will last longer than my assorted iPod shuffles.Sound quality: I'm very picky about sound quality, and have been assessing headphones and speakers for decades. My reference headphones are Sennheiser HD-600, which are high impedance phones not suited to portable devices. However using my usual running headphones (discontinued Sony MDR-A34) the Agptek G02 sounds at least as good as the iPod shuffle so I'm happy.Usability: Here the Agptek easily bests the iPod. Sure you might change the volume setting while clipping it onto your clothes, but it was almost impossible to clip the iPod shuffle on without skipping one or more tracks. Compared to the iPod, the Agptek is much easier to adjust volume and skip tracks while running thanks to the larger control surface. With the iPod I would often accidentally skip tracks while trying to change the volume or vice versa. It's also easier to see it is on thanks to the LED light. It lacks the iPod's voiceover feature, but I almost never used that anyway. Also be warned that with the Agptek in random/shuffle mode, you can not replay tracks by skipping back as you could with the iPod.Battery life: I haven't done a direct comparison (since all my iPod shuffles are dead now) but I would expect the Agptek to have poorer battery life due to the always-on LED. Nonetheless it lasted a month on the first charge, for roughly 10-15 hours of use. EDIT: it lasted at least 20 hours on the second charge!Capacity: 8GB for the Agptek G02 (not expandable) vs 2GB for the iPod shuffle (also not expandable). Big improvement!Radio: I haven't tried this feature.Price: less than half the price of the iPod shuffle though to be fair the shuffle came with ear buds. Considering the usability improvement and added capacity the Agptek is a bargain.

This should be found in a Cracker Jack box, for those old enough to really remember.
It's incredibly junky. Unbelievable in this day and age for what was supposed to be a simple MP3 player. It gets caught in a loop of just a couple of songs out of hundreds. Hit forward, it goes backward. It backwards, it goes backwards. I literally even made sure my audiobook was titled in order, good luck still. It wasn't just even the same couple of songs it be in a loop over, or randomly skip. I've been in the game and this would be worse than 90's stuff. This should be found in a Cracker Jack box, for those old enough to really remember.

Almost...
Device works fine for it's purpose as an MP3 player, the 64GB model has enough storage to actually use the supposed 8,000 song limit even with higher bitrate files. The buttons are easy to memorize and locate even when not looking at the device. Sound quality is decent when you're using decent bitrate files and decent earphones, and gets more than loud enough for me. Drag and drop file management and USB C interface are both easy and convenient.Functionally as an MP3 player it is pretty good. EVERYTHING else is bad--FM tuner just doesn't need to be there, on a tiny device you've got a tiny coiled antenna. Unless the device is stationary and just providing signal to like some powered speakers you're just going to have static. A better use of this switch would just be a dedicated power switch, more on that later. Would require a new hardware revision to fix.--LEDs on this device are just stupid, if they were just used to indicate charging when plugged in it'd be fine. Solid red while charging, solid blue when fully charged and it'd be great. These things flash *constantly* while the device is playing music to indicate what mode it's in. WHY!? Mode selection is a physical switch, I already know what mode it's in, or I could just look at the switch once and verify. Why waste battery constantly flashing LEDs for no reason!? Could be fixed with a firmware update if AGPTEK cared.--When you unplug the device from charging, it automatically starts playing music. If you don't stop it, it will just drain the battery. Horrible design. Could be fixed as is with a firmware update if AGPTEK cared, but also the physical power switch I suggested before would also solve this.--Changing between shuffle mode and repeat mode requires the device to be powered off and back on to actually start functioning. Not a huge deal, but annoying, especially when the stupid LED indicator flash code for mode DOES change immediately. Honestly not sure if they could fix this with just firmware, might be hardware.--Repeat mode stops after every playback... Just why? If I want you to repeat the song I'm listening to, I don't want to have to press play every time it ends to start it again. Could be fixed with a firmware update if AGPTEK cared.
