Other than these being wired. Is there any difference in the 349 dollar wireless version

People shouldn't answer if they don't know what they're talking about (just being honest). Anyhow, the Wired version offers true 24 bit 96hz audio via the Quad DAC. It's that little Legendary Sabre which makes the magic happen - not the software or anything else. The analog/wired headset portion is also pretty good too because the 40mm drivers offer audiophile-like range which isn't typical for gaming headsets that tend to focus on bass/mids over fidelity.

The wireless version isn't no slouch either and it has a great amplifier built right into the headset. It has some of the best wireless 16bit/24hz crystal clear, finely tuned gaming audio around. It certainly deserves it's place as their flagship wireless device. Even so, it's not a Bower Wilkins or Bang Olufsen, but close enough for the price. Note: If you're after a less refined, punchy bass, the wireless set might still be the better option.

It's close enough you'll get a similar experience with both the wireless and wired versions on either gaming console. However, switching over to PC (96hz 24bit audio) the wired version begins to pull ahead because it's doing something the wireless can't (processes Hi-res audio).

Of the two I prefer the wired version overall as the biggest step-up from the older Arctis series. In my opinion it's the best audio experience Steel Series offers (I'd rank in this order: Wired Nova Pro > Wired Arctis Pro > Wireless Nova Pro > Arctis 9X ). Another area of improvement is spatial audio; it's not handled any better or differently regardless of model (Nova 3, 7, or Pro), but it is better than the older Arctis lineup.

Just for example: having tried/reviewed both the wireless Arctis Nova Pro and the Arctis 9x, the Nova wasn't really any better sounding as the 40mm drivers are nearly identical, but it has far greater battery capacity and the ability to have two different devices (plus Bluetooth) connected simultaneously. So unlike the 9X, the Wireless Nova Pro can be hooked up to both a Xbox and PlayStation making it the superior wireless option for those with multiple systems (I too hate changing headsets as I switch devices).

Just bought nova wired pros and the mic is awful on ps5. did i get a faulty unit? cause it picks up every noise  imaginable in the background

I had the same problem on PC the mic according to my friends was worse than a 1$ dollar store mic and the audio would frequently stutter whether it be on 2.4ghz or Bluetooth. Either the mic is absolutely horrendous or a lot of people are getting faulty units. Either way I recommend to not buy this headset

Is there anyway i can utilize the xbox type c port for my ps5?

No... the DAC has a specific port for Xbox because of how differently the Xbox outputs audio.

Question 4

What does the line in port do on the back? i assumed it allows me to plug in an auxillary device like a phone or tv.

You are correct. The line-in aux port is so that you can add another source of audio, like a phone as you mentioned, and be able to listen to it on the headset. Though I'm not too sure about whether it'll work with a TV, but wouldn't hurt to try.
