Sturdy and allergy resistant! (With backstory)
(Relevant backstory here) I am super sensitive to jewelry and about a year and a half ago, I got my second ear lobe piercings done. I did it in a tattoo shop with the professional needle and everything, unlike when I was 10 and got the first ones done at a Piercing Pagoda with the gun. I was very upset to find that the earrings from the tattoo shop were flaring my allergies! I didn't realize it though since your ears are going to be sore and raw for a bit after the piercing but they were taking forever to heal. Being my first time with the needle and not the gun, I wasn't sure what to wholly expect since the wound is created in a different way (I am also stubborn). Well, after a good year, my ears STILL were not fully healing. They were close, but the right ear especially just kept being inflamed and draining a bit. So I finally decided to take that one out and let it be for a few days. I cleaned the earring well and put it into my left ear in the front hole so I wouldn't lose it (they're super tiny) and within a couple of hours, my left ear was screaming. That's when it dawned on me what happened. I was PISSED. So I took both earrings out to let my ears rest with nothing in them. My right ear was healing up fast without it and a few weeks later, I decided it was time for an experiment. Remember when I said I got pierced at Piercing Pagoda when I was ten with the gun? Well, I still have those earrings, but lost one of the backings that lock over that sharp end. I decided I was going to use those in my new piercing holes because I knew confidently that I'm not allergic to them. And well... I was lucky they were the sharps. I ended up having to pierce back the through about halfway in my right ear since it had closed with healing. It wasn't actually as terrible as I thought it would be. 🤷🏻♀️ So that's when these come in! (Finally, amirite?) I noticed the one backing I still had was weird on my left ear and there was irritation while using it (i probably wasn't able to clean it enough inside or something), so I've been using two of the locking backings from this set with the earrings from way back and not only are they sturdy and secure, but my ears are totally healed with no irritation or flare of my allergy! I am SO thankful for these backings and if I ever need more, I'll be back! 💜💜💜 thanks for reading this, especially if you read my whole backstory too. Good luck.

Functional and comfortable
These are the only earring backs I've found that work best for my daughter. They don't fall out or come apart easily but they are easy enough for her to be able to change her own earrings now that she is older. Added bonus is she doesn't get poked by the backs anymore which is nice.

Perfect Earring Backs
I rarely write reviews but wanted to leave one for these. My daughters both have pierced ears and I can’t tell you how many times their earring backs get jammed into their lobes and cause infections and pain. Yes I’m a bad mom who forgets to check their earrings. These are FANTASTIC!!! They have a closed ending so they cannot sink into their lobes. If you’re a bad parent like me who forgets to check earrings or forgets to take earrings out at night get these, they’ll save you and your little ones a lot of pain. They fit on a bunch of different earrings without issue.

Some were really hard to get off
It seems like the quality varies. The first time I ordered these they were perfect and I've used them ever since, but the second time I ordered more those ones were really tight. So tight that once they're on, I can't get them off with my fingers and have had to use pliers to pull them off so I don't hurt my fingertips. But these are still my preferred eating backs as they keep studs from poking my head!

Best Secure Earring Backs
These earring backs snap/click securely onto the ends of standard-sized earring posts, without any locking mechanism to fiddle with to remove them. They are just like the backings that come with the pointy earrings used to pierce ears, which prevent those earrings from poking painfully against the head/neck behind the ear. I sleep in my earrings and don't like for any type of post to poke me when my ear is against the pillow, and these backings prevent that from happening. However, they can't be slid along the posts to snug up against the ear, so the earrings remain loose in the ear and can fall slightly forward. For that reason, I add silicone backings (which often come with earrings along with the cheap metal backings) on the posts between these metal backs and my ear. These earring backs are too expensive for me to want to get enough for all my earrings, so I just use the same pair on whichever earrings I'm wearing at any given time, and this pack of them contains a couple extras in case I lose one.

No more poking
I was always getting poked with my earring posts when sleeping on my side. These fix that problem for me. Love them.

Fits earrings so the post doesn’t jab into your head.
