COMPACT BUT SAVES THE KNEES
An old saying — “ We’re all a runnin’ , but time’s a catchin’ up. “ Retired but still active with resistance trng., treadmill, & hiking. However, knees have some tendinitis. Have used numerous knee straps in past, but these are the best. Are comfortable, theVelcro fastener does not slip like some others did, especially when the Velcro ( hook and loop ) get lint in them.Got a knee brace from an orthopedic surgeon that cost almost $300, bulky, and made you move like Frankenstein. This support strap works and is compact and shows little wear after use 5 days / wk. for months now. Buy it.

Very comfortable, average support
I have knee arthritis, and have tried everything short of knee replacement for pain relief. In an effort to continue my favorite activities (dancing and cycling), I decided to order several knee braces and test them out. Although most helped, some gave more support than others, and were more comfortable to wear. Here is a summary of my findings:Futuro Sport Moisture Control Knee Support – good support, but hot, sweaty, and not very comfortable. Restricted movement. The knee cutout didn’t fit around my kneecap very well. Big, black, and ugly. Why do manufacturers think we need to advertise that we are wearing a brace?Futuro Stablizing Knee Support – a simple elastic sleeve. At least this one was beige, but still hot and restricted movement some. Good support.Cho-Pat Dual Action Knee Strap – the double knee strap seems to provide very good support, but when you bend your knee, the edges dig in to your skin. Very uncomfortable, restricted movement significantly. Worst of all, the prickly side of the velcro faces out and gets stuck on your clothing or scratches your other leg.Bracoo Knee Strap – simple but effective – good support and comfortable to wear. Could be worn above or below the knee – two of these would mimic the Cho-Pat but be far more comfortable, without restricting movement – although it might not be big enough if your leg muscles are large above the knee.Neo G Medical Grade VCS Jumpers Knee Patella Band Strap – The silicone pad on this provided very good support on either side of the patella to help stablize it. Good comfort and mobility. Only gripes – it was not beige, and when worn on the left knee, the velcro strap must go on the inside, where it can get knocked loose by your right leg brushing against it.Futuro Sport Adjustable Knee Strap – Very comfortable. The molded padding provides some lateral support, but not quite as much as the Neo G.Jumper’s Patellar Tendon Strap with Silicone Pad by Oppo Medical – Very comfortable, but only places pressure on the center of the patella, not the sides – and therefore did little to help me. Might be helpful for other conditions. Very unobtrusive. My choice? For workouts and biking, Neo G below and Bracoo above the knee. For dancing – Neo G – unless I’m wearing pantyhose, in which case either of the Futuros would be less likely to snag. For everyday wear – the Futuro knee strap – A little less support but a lot more comfort.

SO much BETTER than my previous knee strap!
My previous knee strap was an OVERSIZED "one size fits all" that was miserably gangling. My chiropractor recommended finding a better fitting design. I LOVE this knee strap: more secure, more precise pressure points, greater relief, and better fitting! However, I will mention that if you have very large knees you may find this knee strap too small.

Saves my knees
I've been using this strap for over 30 years knee. In my younger years I did a lot of running and volleyball. I had need arthroscopic surgery on one knee about 7 years ago. As I'm much older now, I only go walking and I'm trying my best to reduce impact/injury to both knees. For me, this knee strap is still the best as it supports my knee cap and minimizes any jarring movements. It is adjustable and comfortable - I only use it for my long walks and I don't even know that it's there. For me, it's a very good value.

Fantastic for holding up knee socks!
These knee straps work perfectly to keep knee socks from slipping down during the day; and they accomplish that without being constricting. Just pull up your socks, wrap the straps around the tops (very quickly done), and you're ready to go for the day. There is a section with three hard lumps ("reinforced pressure pad") sewn into these, which serves some kind of purpose for other users. That section is independent of the strap; i.e., with a seam ripper, the strip of lumps can be carefully removed without damaging the strap. This style is made by 3M, but is sold under various names. E.g., the first ones I got came in Tru-fit packaging, this one in Futuro, and I recently saw them in a store in Ace packaging. If you can not stand having to pull up your knee-high socks all day long, here's a comfortable, easy, and perfectly effective solution.NOTE: This strategy works by taking advantage of the narrow area just below the knee and above the calf muscle....to hold up KNEE SOCKS. I don't know if it would work for mid-calf socks.
