I use these for freezing meats and vegatables for a longer fresher shelf life. work great withmy Nesco vacuum sealer.

These are a nice small size for smaller storage, I use them for portioned out dehydrated vegetables. They work well with my Super Saver Vacuum and seal system. these are nice and thick but not too thick, if I need to use them with sharper things like noodles I use cardstock to add extra support and protection against puncturing. I always use a 100 CC Oxygen absorber inside these bags with whatever I vacuum seal, and then put these inside a larger Mylar bag with a 300 Oxygen Absorber for added protection.Disclaimer: I received this product in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. I have a commercial grade vacuum sealer and use it almost daily from sealing up leftover salad to keep it fresh longer in the fridge meat that we find in bulk and repackage to put in the freezer. I prefer to use bags that are already made versus the bulk packages that you cut and make your own bags. These bags are the perfect size I got 30 8"x 12" each bag is equivalent to a quart bag. There is just my husband and I and these bags hold 2-3 pieces of chicken perfectly. I had no problems with the bags sealing at all. I will definitely be purchasing more of these when I have used the ones I have. If you have a vacuum sealer you can't go wrong with these. I did receive these at a discounted price in exchange for an honest review which I have given.

love the 8x12 bags. the perfect size to seperate bulk pks of meat for my hubby and I. I fold a paper towel and put just below my sealing point to catch any "liquid" that would tend to be vacuumed out from the meat (especially ground beef). Liquids I either freeze in container that the food frozen item will fit in the bag to vacuum seal otherwise don't use the vacuum, bags work great. definitely reccommend. Ive used for soups. meats, gravy, for marinading, freeze well and keeps meats fresh longer in the fridge if vacuumed sealed.
