I didn't realise these shipped directly from china. The box claims, in the little english that was there, that the paint is non toxic. I'm not totally reassured by that with the lead paint issues common from Chinese products, but I kept them anyhow. Otherwise the construction seems of decent quality and my daughter enjoys doing the puzzles.

our son has been enjoying them and they are a more affordable option but i do have a complaint that 3 of the letters were stuck slightly in the holes and when pried out, they tore the paper pictures that are behind the letters.
