Cheap but Good Trek Poles
While cheap, these are good poles. They have a pretty good mechanism for extending the poles, that seems fairly tight so I suspect it won't wear out very fast.

Probably saved my life
I don’t mean to sound dramatic but we just hiked Mount Le Conte and my shoes were terrible and I was slipping on every bit of moisture. If it weren’t for these poles I would at the very least be seriously injured.

Feel strong and well made
Ordered these to replace a pair of Trail Buddy's that got bent during a fall (not due to a failure of the poles), & figured I'd splurge for a chunkier model. They look nice, feel very sturdy, and the handles are comfortable. I'm not a big fan of using straps, so no comment on those. My only complaint (& this might be an Amazon issue rather than a Black Diamond issue) is that they came in a box with no product-specific packaging or instructions. Were literally taped together with packaging tape that left a large swatch of adhesive goo on each pole where the tape was such that I had to use GooGone to remove it (on brand new poles). No extra baskets, no tool for adjustments, nothing. The MUCH cheaper Trail Buddy's came with snow baskets and an extra pair of rubber tip covers + instructions for proper adjusting. Just saying. Wondering if maybe I got someone's returned poles......

Stability

Great poles!
These are great trekking poles! They are light weight, sturdy and have a comfortable grip and straps. The length is easily adjustable but holds under pressure. I really love the tips, they stick to everything, even sloped slick flat rock!!

Good trekking poles
Great lightweight poles that I used for my recent hiking trip to Wales. Adjustable length is great for sharing between people of different height. Taking off one star for the clips - the clips to fix the length are very tight to open and close.

Handles are not comfy
I had my previous pit of black diamond piles stolen and these were a replacement pair. Sadly the handles are not as comfortable and give me blisters on my hands and the handle loops are a much harder material that feels a lot cheaper than my previous pair….. so I’m back to hunting another pair. Quite disappointed
