AWESOME
Excellent series, waited for the second book to write a review just to make sure I wasn't setting myself up for disappointment, but AWESOME is the most honest review I can make.

An enjoyable read and story
I've read several of these totes of stories the past year. This author is my favorite. The characters seem both consistent, and yet they grow.Other authors tend to use swearing and profanity in every other paragraph. This author keeps it moderate and tone down then others.

Great addition
This was a wonderful addition to the story. The introduction of the various species helped the battle at the end of this story.

Even better than the first book!
I haven't read a lot of Cassius Lange so I was unsure about this second installment of Zenith Academy. Turns out that it was a needless concern. This was better than book 1 and I was fully engrossed by chapter 2. Super exciting battle scenes. No overly done adult sexy times, and not overly crunchy. For me there is the right balance of all 3 that keeps me focused on the book instead of wanting to fast forward past those parts. Very well done and excellently written and performed.Do I recommend this book? Absolutely!!! My recommendation is high enough that I'm going to try out some of his other books on the strength of this series.Next up is Wolf Pack which is non harem. When the writing is good, sexy times are just icing on your favorite cake.

Best/most reasonable RPG point system I’ve read so far.
This book is lots of fun. Fast paced w/ details. Good characters for a rpglit book, though dimensionality flows and ebbs. Both the traveler and point systems work well, sensible, and not extravagant. This is better than the first book. It fleshes out the prior sentence, giving the first book a more solid foundation. That foundation would have been too much for the first book. I’ll probably wrap around and reread the first book. I recommend, regardless, reading the books in order.Very much looking forward to the next book.

What is the point of making this a harem?
To be honest and upfront- I enjoyed the majority of the book. The humor is great, the characters are entertaining (mostly) and the characters steady rise in power is enjoyable to behold. What I did not like was the “harem”. I enjoy harems- but in this case- there is almost no point in it. Especially as the MC shows clear favoritism towards one of the women- even when she treats his other mates like shit.Which brings me to my next point- the first book I loved Chloe. Very easy to understand and she was very well written. However, in the second she acts like a downright bitch at times- and when you think JD will reprimand her or call her on it- he just goes to give her one-on-one time. Ok cool- but what about the other two? That’s not fair to them in any way shape or form.Honestly, I was disappointed in how their relationship progressed in this book, but I will stick around in the hopes that things get better. It was a great read otherwise- don’t let my view discourage you from continuing- whether you are the reader or even the writer himself. I hope to see more of this story in the future.

Another good read.
Pacing of events throughout was great. Never felt dull beyond reason, and has plenty of highscl and lows to keep you flipping page after page.

Brilliant
A worthy follow up to the first book. Good story progression. Great character development. Now we just have to wait for the next one in the series.

A lot packed in
This book has a lot in it, a lot of chamber of dungeon diving with a unsuspecting turn of events near the end.

Good story and world building
2nd book in the series, continues to build out the world and characters. Easy to pick up and looking forward to the next book.

Good but conclusion is abrupt
The book is good, I found the final battle a little too long but is a personal taste. What I don't like is the pseudo cliffhanger at the end of the novel. Isn't a true cliffhanger because our heroes have won and the city is safe, but I like a more ordered conclusion for an episode of a series.
