KMS Squared UFO 750 Reloading Press light - Kit

I had been looking for a light to better illuminate the working area of my 650 press- even in a well lighted shop much of the case plate is in shadow. The KMS lighting kit was straight forward to install, well designed to fit, and works extremely well in lighting what I wanted it to. Many small LEDs around the underside of the machines upper frame light its work area very evenly and brightly, probably more brightly than it would have to be. Seems to be very white light, without the blue hue that LEDs often have. The kits wire and parts tuck well away from the presses moving parts. The adhesive on the LED and zip tie pads bonded very securely. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase- I'll be buying more for other machines.

I have been rolling my own rounds for the past 30 years using presses from Lyman, Lee, RCBS and most recently Dillon. When reloading I always thought it was a challenge to keep good unobstructed lighting on the shell plate. For years I made due with bright LED fluorescent bulbs in my ballast, shop lights on the bench and even one of those flashlights that mounts into the toolhead. Try as I might, there was always some sort of obstruction or shade on the shell plate that obscured a clear view of powder in the case. Then I found the KMS UFO for my Dillon XL650 and decided to give it a try. Installation was a breeze as long as you follow the instructions on their YT video. Clean the reloader well and, scour the area where the LED's will attach. Per the instructions, I left the LED lights turned on (for ~20 mins), heated up the reloader to 80+ F (using a hair blow dryer) and then attached the lights. The light throws light right where I needed it - onto the shell plate and into the cases. I didn't buy the kit with the output adjuster as I think it gives the perfect amount of light but but your mileage may vary. I've loaded a few thousand rounds over the past 3 weeks and my UFO is still holding strong. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade to any reloader and I wish I would have installed one a long time ago.

This thing puts out a great quality of light in all the right places, yet stays completely out of your way when operating or making changes to the press. Excellent addition. I have seen other reviewers who gripe about the adhesive not sticking to the press, but I suspect those folks did not follow the installation instructions. I took the time to read the instructions and watch the short YouTube video before installing mine, and it all went together just fine - and has stayed put. If you can't follow the installation instructions for this light, then you have no business reloading ammunition anyway.

It's awesome. Far superior to my previous lighting system which served well but technology moves on. Much brighter and a better design. I really like that I don't have to move a center light from tool head to tool head (loading 11 calibers so frequent tool head changes). Since it has one custom designed light strip, there's less cabling and no wye adapter making for a cleaner installation. The complete kit is complete - includes scratch pad and alcohol wipe, uncommon thin and long zip ties. Good value / fair price. Did have an issue. The power supply died after two or three hours of on time. First rate customer service replaced it immediately and I'm back in business with no issues since. (I have had it for roughly two weeks and have used it for 6-8 hours with several tool head changes.) Would definitely buy again. Will be buying their light for my single stage press.

Unreal!! As an electrical engineer - this is the coolest light ever. The light is bright and in all the right places. LED's on a flex printed circuit board with double stick tape on the back. Only takes minutes to install. I added double stick tape to the switch - looks like a factory delivered accessory and is so thin as to disappear into the press. If I were Dillon I would ad a bit of machining and incorporate this into the press as a standard. Caliber conversion (changing tool head) is cool as the light does not move and makes shell plate changes well lite. LED's run cool to touch and last a long time. - some 50 years

I used one of these on my 550, and when I upgraded to a 750XL, I installed one on it as well. Easy to install, works great, and is a must for anyone wanting to check on powder and primers as you reload. The LEDs will outlast the press, and the press will outlast me.

First let me say that this is absolutely a bright addition to any Reloaders press. There is an explosion of light when you turn on the switch. Plenty of LEDs to light up the work area more than you ever thought it could be lit up. I can see every single primer in the trough so no more guessing if it is empty or not . My only complaint would be that KMS squared has not actually made one to fit the loadmaster since I'm pretty sure there are twice as many out there as there are Dillons. Otherwise an excellent product. I have three loadmasters two of which have the KMS lights I will be buying the 3rd. Don't waste your time or money on light strips wire and soldering irons most of your 12 volt power supplies will work just buy the extension pack without the plug but the main pack with the power supply does have a really nice positive switch. The male-female connections are snug without fear or of them coming loose. Lights have been cool to the touch through two or three-hour reloading sessions. Keep in mind one thing the ends of the Horseshoe will stick out about a quarter inch past your press. You will see on my picture what I am talking about. Hope this helps all the loadmaster owners....

The light is great. It is very bright and makes loading on the 750 notably more visible. Just note, the alcohol wiping and abrasive pad is absolutely necessary to get it to stick. I wish it had a better adhesive, but it's great once it's up.
