Better than Nordstrom's, others. My favorite shoe trees.
Seriously a great shoe tree! Made in the good ol' USA, an awesome bonus! The cedar seems to be of great quality (especially compared to the Nordstrom's trees I own, the wood is more aromatic). It's worth the extra few bucks youight have to spend on these compared to other brands. The finishing on mine is smooth, the spring mechanism is just right, not too tight...not too loose (in my opinion, at least).I was recently suit shopping across town and stopped by Men's Wearhouse to see I'd they had anything decent. I brought along two pairs of Allen Edmonds to try on with the suits. The instant I pulled the shoes out of the bags and took the trees out the clerk said "Those are some serious shoe trees!". They really are. (and yes, Men's Wearhouse did have shoe trees, although they weren't anywhere near the quality of AE's).I own several pairs of these, and will continue to buy more. One last note, if you are using these in AE shoes, then you are at the right place. The full-toe are specifically made to complement the lasts that AE uses to build their shoes. If you own different make shoes, but the Allen Edmonds Split Toe trees. They work differently to conform to the shape of your shoes.

Allen Edmonds by Woodlore
As you may or may not know Allen Edmonds show company purchased the Woodlore Cedar Shoe tree company. Woodlore is a leader in the shoe tree market and all the quality and craftsmanship you’ll find it with the Allen Edmonds. It’s Woodlore with extra branding. That being said it works well. I purchased the full toe version as I wear the standard D width men’s dress shoes. If you do wear wide size shoes I would recommend the split-toe Allen Edmonds shoe trees. Very important you’re not paying more for name rebranding. The pricing is similar between the brands. High quality cedar helps shoes maintain their shape and dry odor free. Cedar naturally contains anti microbial properties. Cedar also absorbs excess moisture to help aid in drying. Very happy with purchase.

Great shoe tree
As others have said this shoe tree works really well. I got a new pair of Allen Edmonds Carson City boots and picked up this shoe tree to go with it. I got a small for my 8.5D shoe and it fits perfectly snug. The spring action of the shoe tree works great and the spring is very strong. Overall the shoe tree seems well made. The handle at the heel makes it easy to take out and I haven't had any issues with the heel damaging the shoe. My boots were a little bit tight around my toes and the tree seems to have helped stretch out the leather just the perfect amount so that the shoe isn't as snug anymore which I appreciated.

Work great, make sure you get the correct size.
Slightly over-snug for the Allen Edmonds shoes I bought them for. They do fit into the shoe but can be a challenge to get them out. I think they would be too large for anything smaller than an 11.

Why would you buy Shoe Trees?
If you have used different shoe trees and were dissatisfied, let me tell you about the Allen Edmonds Trees. If you have had trees break, bend, or which were simply too wide to fit your shoes, try these. The Allen Edmonds Full Toe Cedar Shoe Tree smells like cedar just like the name says. They fit my shoes perfectly and are obviously made to last. They are intended for people who care about their shoes enough to spend a little more and do the job. If there was a "10" on this scale, they would get it. As my other trees fail, I will replace them with Allen Edmonds.

These shoe trees will not fit a 13E shoe.
Actually I needed to contact someone about these shoe trees. I waer a size 13e in some of my shoes and these trees are supposed to fit a 13E and they will not go into the shoe completely. The toe part is fine but the heel part is to long to completely go into the shoe.

At the asking price of $20-30 these are some of the best shoetrees I have owned (less for more expensive Herring models). The cedar can be renewed by application of sandpaper, and they not only fit true to size but maintain their cedar smell for months on end (in dry environments). In essence Allen Edmonds trees are re-branded woodlores so whichever model is on discount or bears the lowest price would echo my recommendation. When comparing this model to the combination style (which flexible width to adjust to the size of your shoes), these will stretch shoes more after a prolonged application (my dress shoes expanded slightly over the course of 1.5 years of wear from these trees), so do keep that in mind.

Superb product (and Difference between Right and Left)
This was my first pair of shoe trees and I have to admit that I did not know much about them. However, these are really great in quality because they are made out of hard wood which is the type of wood you want if you want to absorb all that bad moisture in your shoe. Good quality stuff.A note about Right and Left. To distinguish them (there are no labels), you have to look at the shoe tree from the end (from the heels side). If you do that, you can clearly see that for each shoe tree, there is a enlarged side and a smaller side. The enlarged side is supposed to be where your big toe goes. Hope that helps!!!
