Sooooo gripping
I don't generally read YA but JLA is my exception. Her characters are so real and flawed I never get an instalove with a werewolf AND a vampire headache. This is one of my favorite books of JLA's. I have always loved thrillers and often read James Patterson and Nora Roberts thrillers but this one is most definitely on par with those if not above. Ella has been traumatized multiple times in her life and the most recent is shocking and terrifying. The trauma reconnects her with Jensen, a childhood friend. Together they navigate a killer with shocking reasons and background. The characters are wonderful, Ella is delightful and real, Jensen is dreamy. The fear is so real during this book. There were so many twists and turns I had a hard time catching my breath! By the end I thought things had been explained and BAM another curveball! If you love suspense, sweet romance, and fabulous edge of your seat ride, this is definitely the book for you! Enjoy!

Suspenseful and swoony
The Dead List is a suspense filled read that keeps you guessing. It is dark and twisty and keeps the reader on the edge of their seat. Readers who enjoyed JLA’s Don’t Look Back and Till Death are sure to enjoy this one. The Dead List perfectly combines suspense with the swoon.Ella is a great heroine and what she deals with is so rough. I really admired Ella for how she handled it all. She kept trying to live her life and not let anything stop her and that is something to really admire. Then we have Jensen, and let’s be honest, we all knew I was going to love Jensen. JLA seriously writes the best guys and Jensen was no exception. He is funny and sweet and clearly cares for Ella and I loved it. And I also loved how clear he was about what he wanted. No mixed signals or hot and cold messages, because let’s be honest Ella did not need that on top of everything else she had going on.The Dead List is a fun read, even though the clown stuff haunts my nightmares. I had a great time reading along and trying to guess who the killer was. I changed my mind so many times. I was right at one point, but I was never confident enough in my guess so the book kept me on my toes. The Dead List was a twisty read that will keep you guessing throughout. As always, JLA delivered with this book.

surprise at every turn
The Dead List actually turned into a surprise for me. I originally started trying to read this book when Jennifer had it posted up on Wattpad a few years ago for her fans. I need to say I couldn't get past the first couple of chapters for some reason. Now a couple years later I picked it up again and I am so glad I did. I truly enjoyed this suspenseful read. this is about four childhood friends who after a tragedy when they were all about 13 drifted apart. four years later at the start of their senior year of high school tragedy strikes again, a girl is missing and one of the four attacked. the tension that the author builds is believable and real. it makes you as the reader question every characters intentions. Jenson is the somewhat too good to be true love interest to Ella and was part of the original four friends. Gavin her ex who was also her friend years before. we see as readers how after tragedy and loss and growing up how everything can change. some for the good and some not so much. this is a wonderful story and I highly recommend this to any who like suspense and a good love story.

Oh. My. Goodness!
Such a wonderfully written story! I'm always iffy to read mystery type books, but of JLA has changed that for me! This book was soooo good! The writing was perfect, the story was epic, the mystery and drama had me on edge, and the romance was great! I was seriously guessing the whole time about who the killer was! JLA made the story fit together perfect. She didn't leave any detail out! Oh it was soooo good!! Don't be like me and wait so long to read this book. 5/5 stars!

A thrilling read!
He's making a list...And he's checking it twice...I read this book years ago when it was on Wattpad and fell in love with it immediately (As one does when it's a JLA book).Intriguing, mysterious and thrilling. Captivating and hooking.Everyone is suspicious and you don't know who to trust. Ugh. This book was crazy amazing.Full of mystery, a killer, trust, secrets, family, friends and love.Perfect for readers of mystery/thriller romances.

Great quick read
Love this standalone! Kept me guessing right to the end! Would definitely recommend. Not to many intimate scenes to take away from the plot of the story

In love with Jensen and Ella!
I’m addicted to Jennifer’s books. She writes of strong, intelligent and emotionally mature female characters with charismatic, enigmatic and strong male characters. I never feel like shouting at the heroine to grow up, or like banging my head against a brick wall because the storyline seems simplistic or cringeworthy. This book has shot up to be one my favourites. Ever. And I’m reading a book or two a day at present on my Kindle. I love it that much. From the Blood and Ash series, to the Covenant series and the Lux books, everything that Jennifer L Armentrout touches is gold. I’d buy her books without hesitation. Can’t believe how majorly talented this lady is, spinning tales so diverse and wonderful, spanning different genres and landscapes. I’ve got her on my watch list for any future publications!!!

Excellent roman de cette auteur. On hésite tout le long du livre en suspectant tous les protagonistes. Je recommande absolument.

Creeptastic!
The Dead List takes a look at the lives of four childhood best friends and how growing up starts to change their dynamic. Tragedy also strikes which leaves the remaining three friends dealing with things in very different ways. One moves on, one is riddled with guilt and the other accepts that there is nothing they could have done to change anything.Ella can't wait to go through University and get away from all the memories of her home town. She narrowly escapes being kidnapped in the days leading up to the start of her final school year and is now the center of a new police investigation. Jensen re-enters her life and she realises that she still has feelings for him despite four years apart. As more students keep disappearing, the plot unfolds into something completely sick and twisted....I enjoyed this book, the characters were relatable and I was turning those pages so quickly to try and unravel the web that Jennifer Armentrout has weaved together. I must admit that I did figure out some of the ending but not the whole thing.I really hope we get to see more of Ella and Jensen and how they move forward with their lives together.I have purchased my copy on Amazon AU.
