I had purchased online three other, different brands, electric kettles and they ALL LEAKED. (Fortunately, I was able to send them all back for a refund.) Skeptical of buying any other electric kettle online no matter what bran, this one caught my attention because of the choice of colors and its elegant design; I had been looking for an aqua color to match my newly painted turquoise cabinets. And now, I am so glad the others didn't work out because this one is perfect! First, it does NOT leak! And the best quality is that it heats up quickly with a bonus of watching a boiling water performance through the clear glass illuminated by a beautiful blue light. The light shuts off when the water is boiled, so I don't care about it not having a "beep" when it's done. Although the container and lid are hot to the touch, the sturdy, functional handle stays cool - just don't touch the hot parts as you would not touch a boiling tea kettle on the stove - duh! I have been using this kettle for two months now and really enjoy its presence in my kitchen, the bright colors and its quickly-produced hot water is a happy wake-up note on any early morning, so I do hope it lasts a long time. Photos show the kettle: 1) full roll boiling, 2) boiling done and auto turned off, and 3) just set to boil (the light comes on as soon as you press the "on" button).

I love this Peach Street kettle! It's so easy to use, just fill with water and push the lever down, that’s located under the handle. I wanted a glass kettle. Once I received this kettle I immediately donated my stove top kettle. This one works fast. The instructions say to fill it up to the max line which is clearly marked. I turned it on and timed it to see how long it takes to boil 1.7 liters of water, it took exactly 6 minutes. I did this twice per instructions. I like the built-in mesh filter that lets you put tea bags or fruit in the water with just the water passing through. This makes it easy to boil water fast for tea, instant coffee or for hot cereal. The only thing that gets really hot to the touch is the glass, but not any part of the metal or handle. It automatically turns off once it comes to a rolling boil. I also love the blue color when I turn it on, it looks so cool. The top pops open at the touch of a button. It has a wide mouth makes it easy to fill and to clean.The base has a 360° rotating base making it easy to access the kettle from any side. My son loves that because he's left handed so it makes it easier for him. Beneath the base I can also store the cord in a specially designed storage slot. There is also a notch under the base to put the cord through so the base does not wobble when it’s plugged. I highly recommend this item, It is well worth the price.

This kettle heats water amazingly quick and extra hot! It hold a lot, maybe too much! I don’t know why anyone would need this much hot water but I did like the price point for the size. I just rarely go beyond 1/4 to 1/2 the pot. The lid pops open sometimes but other than that, you will be “in more hot water” than you need!
