USB Cable Charger for Yaesu VX-5R VX-6R VX-7R VXA-710 FT-60R Radio USB-DC-5B

This charger needs to be a different board, one with an output capacitor. There's a 0.5 volt ripple on the output which can be heard if the radio is on.

Works as expected. My thinking is that having this cable would be a plus in terms of resilience and flexibility of convenience. It may also be better for battery longevity because of the lower amperage when charging. It does take longer, but it’s worthwhile. If I’m in a hurry, I can always use either the car charger or a/c charger. On the go, I can also now use a cellphone power brick if necessary to charge my HT.

Awesome! Yah, I love this charger. Don’t like carrying the 25 pound factory brick LOL, if you’re looking at this, you know what I mean. I’ve used it with my AC to USB phone charger... actually many different ones and plugged into various computers and it’s worked every single time. I totally recommend. I’ve had it for over 6 months now, charger is still going strong.

It works great with the Radio Off in the car. I used it charge it with the Radio off in my bedroom.In the car with the Radio on it picks up static.

Bought it twice, neither worked. It would not charge the VX-5R, there was also no current draw from the USB source.

Works fantastically on my Yaesu ft1dr!!!

Product causes interference (static) with receiving on VX-6r that is not present with standard DC charger. OK for charging, but not for use while charging, will not even pickup radio stations.
