Bezel is a problem
I ordered this watch and returned once because the bezel had some play up and down on top of the crystal. Asked for replacement and received it promptly and at no additional cost but the second watch has a similar but less severe/noticeable problem. Overall the watch is beautiful and solidly built, but this part is a bit annoying. There is no noticeable gap under the bezel so I assume after receiving two of them with the same problem this is just part of the build quality but does not impact the function or overall esthetic of the watch. Absent of this problem, it's a great watch.

For watch collectors, the profile...
The other reviews are right on target regarding style, design, and build quality. Glycine made its name in 24 hour watches, mostly used by pilots. The Combat Sub is an excellent value. There is a whole universe of Rolex Submariner" fakes (copies) and homages (style-similarities). The Glycine doesn't bother to play in that sandbox, with its own unique style elements. The watch is auto and /or self winding, and hackable (you can stop the second hand to synchronize with an atomic time or other signal). Lume is good if you charge it properly; lasts all night or at least 6 to 8 hours and visible in darkness once your eyes adjust. The bezel is firm yet easy to turn and solidly clicks in place. If you're like me and enjoy dive watches, you pobably use the timing bezel ten times a day.For collectors and aficionados who enjoy dive watches, no one yet mentioned a real selling point here, which is the profile, i.e., how tall the watch sits when on your wrist. The answer is it doesn't, thankfully. It sits low and close, and easily fits under a shirt cuff. In other words, a fully water resistant 200M (660 feet), locking crown, great timing bezel, and its low rise. Some dive watches are so thick they're like weights. This is slim, and a really good value.Get one!

Great watch. Disappointing bezel color.
Really solid watch and great attention to details. I enjoy wearing this watch. Only (for me big) disappointment is the color of the bezel - it appears dark grey almost black on shop photos but it is pale, almost silver-ish. I would have considered another color option if you want good contrast.

Excellent quality, Swiss Automatic DIver at a reasonable price
I don't want to parrot the previous two reviews, but I do agree with everything said in those reviews. Lovely watch, understated elegance, and it's one of my favorite watches.Let me add this: For those of you with a regular-size wrist, or a smaller wrist, you might be wary of the 42 mm diameter, but I don't have a large wrist, and I'm here to tell you that this watch wears smaller than that. The shape of the lugs provides the difference, of course. Just very comfortable, not unwieldy, and so, no reason to be wary of the size.And...….I know some people are nervous about (the tawdry) Invicta recently buying Glycine (a brand that's been a great watch manufacturer since the early 1900's), but I have not seen any decline in their quality since the acquisition. As long as Invicta leaves Glycine alone, throws money at them and lets them do what they do best, it's all copasetic.

Beautifully Made
The 42mm Glycine Combat fits like a glove. It’s easy to read. Keeps very good time. Solid 38 hour power reserve. The yellow indices are brilliant and have a bright luminescence without being obnoxious, though the numbers are less bold. This watch is beautifully made. Comes with a comfortable satin finish Glycine stainless steel metal bracelet. The case back is not see-through. The shape of the watch is slightly curved and comfortable on the wrist. It’s bold and competent looking, without being showy or glitzy. The overall look is handsome, not bling. The Glycine GL224 movement is akin to the ETA 2824-2/SW200, a workhorse. Has hacking and hand winding capabilities. It has 25/26 jewels. A really beautiful, well-crafted watch. Highly recommend.

Great Swiss watch
If you’ve been looking at Swiss watches you know how expensive they can be. This watch offers a great value in a world of high price watches. The movement beats at 4hz (28,800 bph) and is very accurate. The lume is beyond any watch I’ve ever owned. It is very bright and legible. The packaging felt expensive and well made. I am very happy with this watch. I would recommend Glycine highlyAfter 48 hours of continuous wear, the watch is +2 seconds per day which is very accurate for an automatic.Still love this watch
