You never know what your baby will like and where he/she will prefer to sleep. As first time parents we purchased the crib, the bassinet, the cradle, the mamaroo and of course the car seat. Well for the first 4 weeks of life my son refused to sleep anywhere except the mamaroo. He hated anything with a flat surface, so the crib and bassinet were completely out. We bought the newborn insert to make the mamaroo more plush, and because he was so tiny it was swallowing him up. There were a few times where he would slide down a bit and his head looked somewhat uncomfortable but I would just re-adjust. It was helpful to have the mamaroo in our bedroom, so those first few weeks we can check on him constantly. The swing has multiple sounds, but he prefers only one, the whoosh, which is what it sounds like in utero from what I read. Now that he is 2 months old, he is sleeping in the crib the majority of the time, but he loves hanging out in the mamaroo when he is alert. He stares at the 3 puffy balls on top and I noticed he tries to smile at them and sometimes makes noises directed at them.It is one of the best purchases we made for this baby. Every single night he slept and every time I can calm him down and put him there is priceless. Although it is an expensive "swing", there is no comparison to a happy, sleepy, relaxing baby.

I bought this product when I had my third baby. I was a little hesitant but the reviews convicted me to gave it a try. I'm glad I did. First of all the design is well thought out and very sturdy. It was very easy to assemble. I think it took me 20 minutes from start to finish and the instructions were easy to follow. The most important reason my baby sleeps in it for hours. With my other children I've used other swings (3 different ones to be exact). This works better than all of them by far. To be fair they were not as high tech or expensive as this one but as a new mother I recommend putting your money into this. It buys you time and much needed rest. I was going to buy the infant insert but never got around to it and I don't think you really need it. Using a couple of swaddle blankets works just fine and also keeps it clean in case there is a diaper leak. It is easy to clean. You can wipe it and clean it with a towel and water. It also plays white noise and has several settings that help relax the baby. I would have given this product five stars but my one small complaint is that it makes noise. It's not loud but it's noticeable. My baby doesn't seem bothered by it at all but I notice it.

This baby swing is pretty great. It puts my baby to sleep way better than the one I used to have and it takes up a lot less space. My daughter outgrew it pretty fast, but that is the case with most baby swings because it is for a baby not a toddler. That's really the reason we had to buy another one because my toddler boys wanted to swing in the baby swing and the result was a broken swing. This swing has sensors in it to stop the swing if it is overloaded and it is generally pretty awesome even thought it costs two to three times as much as a regular swing.

I absolutely love my mamaroo. I have had a swing and a bouncer before and this is the best of both. Swings are too bulky to move around, whereas this was actually alot lighter then it looks and easy to move around. It isnt as light as a bouncer but its features make it worth the extra bulk. The different settings are amazing, the car ride one is my favorite, my kids have alway fallen asleep in the car so being able to put fussy babies to sleep without a car ride is a huge plus. The controls are really easy, I usually use my foot so that I dont have to bend down. Although I have heard the newer models have a bluetooth feature so you can control it with your phone. which makes it even better

I am so happy with this purchase. It was $50 cheaper than in other stores. I really wanted to get this product but was not sure if I could afford i however found it on Amazon for cheaper WITh free shipping. It shipped on time in nice packaging. It was very simple to put together and everything works properly. I also really like the material that the swing is made of because it will bone easy to clean in case the baby spits up or anything like that. Also I don't think it takes up as much space as I was thinking or as other people had said.

Thank you, 4Moms! We were able to have dinner tonight as a family without taking turns to hold the baby, who was enjoying his Mamaroo! We purchased the classic grey discontinued version. It works well. The difference between the newer versions is the lack of the bluetooth capabilites (which is fine with us) and the fabric is like on a backpack instead of plush. I am willing to live with these differences given the price differential. Great product, works well, soothes a crying baby well.

I just recently gave birth to our second child, and during our baby registry trip, I came across the mamaroo at babies r us and fell in love with it. I told my husband how much I liked it, so he looked it up on Amazon and found a cheaper (one year older) model for much cheaper than the 2015 models. We purchased it and thanks to our prime account, it arrived two days later. The assembly was SUPER easy and fast. The rocker is quiet, and my daughter loves being it. She falls asleep, and stays asleep, for hours! I highly recommend this product!

When we saw this product in the store and the pricing, we thought what kind of person buys this and pays that much money for a swing/rocking chair. Well after having a very fussy and gassy baby who would only settle when he was moving slightly, we now know. And we loved it!!!! It was worth every penny and I would buy again. Definitely outclasses the vibrating chair that we inherited and will be selling off soon. Thank you 4Moms for a great product!
