BAD PRODUCT
AVOID THESE! just bought tonight at local grocery store... sounded interesting... made in Italy... YUCK! they turned into a gelatinous mass the minute they hit the water! when I first opened the package they looked glued together, I instinctively wanted to toss them in a bowl with some flower and then warm up some oil to cook them in (not water) -- wow! I should have trusted my gut! the tiny bit (taste test) that is in my gut feels like it turned to cement... the rest is in the trash! package said to boil 2-3 minutes but by then it was half water with whole wheat floaties and only about half of the mass was still intact -- thankfully I had some precooked rice for the Shrimp Alfredo so I was able to save supper without a lot of work

Great meal in a hurry!
Very nice taste, though I usually buy the original. Would recommend a try. Very easy to make, just 2-3 minutes as it says. Tender and light, not heavy. A great meal in a hurry!

Tasty, a little grainy, but half the fiber of whole grain pasta
I like this gnocchi - you can definitely taste the grains and texture in it. If you prefer whole grains, you might like that. Though of you wish that your whole grains tasted more like white carbs, then maybe regular whole grain pasta might be a better fit.Side by side: This whole grain gnocchi is 180 calories per serving. Whole grain pasta is 180 calories per serving. Gnocchi has 3 grams of fiber per serving. Whole grain pasta has 7 grams of fiber per serving. It’s worth noting, though, that one serving of the whole grain gnocchi uncooked weighs twice the weight of a serving of whole grain pasta. I haven’t had a chance to compare the weights of the cooked products side by side, but I imagine the regular pasta will be closer since it absorbs more water.Overall, this is was a tasty, filling, very heavy and dense food. It’s not for everyone; I liked it. The low fiber content surprised me, since it tastes so grainy and you literally see little flecks of fiber floating in the water when you cool it. I ate it with a serving of cannellini beans for more fiber. I can say this - the way this gnocchi makes me feel after I eat is comparable to a higher fiber food. Without any scientific study, I would guess that one serving of this gnocchi has a lower glycemic index than whole grain pasta, despite the lower fiber content. This was tasty and satisfying enough for me to finish the package. If you want more voluminous food that tastes lighter but has more fiber per serving, a regular whole grain pasta might be a better match for you.Personally I liked the earthiness of this gnocchi.
