They've got it right!
Basically the perfect water bottle. My main gripe (and my partner's) with the older Water-to-go bottle was you had to suck hard to get water out, and it leaked. Both fixed with this updated sport version. The wider nozzle is super easy to drink from, and it is water tight in hand, on it's side, upside down in backpack, etc. The shape is perfect for fitting into side pockets on bags (straight up and down), where the last (see photo) had "hips" and would stick as you pulled out it of the bag.The smoky plastic seems a bit more discrete and obviously it fits a bike frame if you roll that way. What was an excellent travel bottle has in the new version become my everyday bottle as well.Well done team Water-to-go!

A very, very useful addition to my hiking gear inventory!
Bought this last minute use for a 20 mile day hike (which accidentally turned into a 30 mile hike). It's incredible! I filled this thing from various murky streams, one lovely clean river, a natural spring and at one point (not without some concerns), an overflow pipe.In every situation the Water To Go performed beautifully, giving me a good supply of great tasting and crystal clear drinking water. It is worthy of note that in certain streams and rivers, water can contain natural tannins and staining from certain substrates (clay or peaty soil / vegetation etc) but (as long as the filtered water isn't actually cloudy) the water will still have been filtered of anything harmful and will taste fine too.Obviously the cleaner the water is at source, the better it will taste once filtered.Bottom line, 24 hours and many pints of watwr (from various sources) later, I have suffered none of the potential ill-effects concomitant with drinking contaminated water whilst hiking. This thing really is a marvel and I'd never be without one again whilst enjoying the great outdoors.Superb!

It’s a filter water bottle
Version 2.0 of the original bottle, with different cap and bottle shape. More squeezy than original bottle makes it easier to drink from. So far so good!

Most useful bottle ive every bought
Goen are the times when we need to carry several bottles on a hike. As long as there's a stream near by - every member of family can stay rehydrated, although it may be useful to have more then one of these bottles for the very thirsty.had this almost a year now - recommended by a friend and not looked back!I've used this in hikes in the UK and outside.I've used it in rivers, waterfalls and even on the thick dense snow of the alps.not had a problem with this so far.will be getting another soon.

Very good
My own tapwater tastes terrible. It fixed that.I went to Dominican Republic with it.their tap water is so polluted with industrial waste and sewage that I did not dare use it on that water, and fortunately All Inclusive includes free bottled water making its use unnecessary. However, I shall take it to the Atlas Mountains in Morocco in February 2024. I should get some use out of it

Bottle leaks from filter and contaminates the lead.
The idea of the bottle is great. Unfortunately after a week of use it started leaking from the little silicon air filter. This means that dirty water was contaminating my lid. I was I India for 3 months so I have been unable to return it, but I actually got really ill because of it. I can see fro. other review that other people had the same issue so I wouldn't recommend it. Great idea but needs improvement and can very be usafe to use due to high contamination risk.

Leaking lid
The media could not be loaded. I bought this after reviewing competitors and liked the price and degree of purification provided.I was worried about possible leaks having seen older reviews so bought one to try before buying for the whole family.Unfortunate the lid leaked from the air inlet valve- there were two issues- the stopper cap did not effectively seal the air only valve when the lid was closed, allowing it to leak when the bottle was inverted or on its side, secondly the air inlet valve itself leaked when drinking from the bottle, therefore allowing unfiltered water to pour onto the drinking spout and contaminate it.Customer service was great- they sent a new lid they had tested as being perfect. Whilst the stopper worked, the valve still leaked unfiltered water when the bottle was in use.Therefor returned and I will buy Grayl bottles now

Exactly what’s needed when you don’t want to be carrying the weight of water in your pack!!
The Carlsberg of on the go water filter bottles.. It has become a permanent item in my pack for multi days hikes, I’ve been using many different types of water filters over the years and the Water to go are the only ones to meet my requirements and expectations 100%..I’ve taken water from some very dodgy resources including a drinking station for livestock and the water has came out crystal clear and with the taste of pure fresh water..The only down side is the bottle is hard to squeeze if your wanting to get a brew or need water for cooking etc, other than that I can’t recommend these filters highly enough. To date (and I’ve been using this bottle extensively over a month or so) I’ve had no issues with the bottle leaking.. Like I said if the makers could design a bottle that’s a bit more squeezable then these would be the holy grail of on the go filters..Very highly recommended..
