Good wee tool I didn't buy it for food etc I bought it for shinking electric sleeves and it's ideal but the wife says that would be good for food to lol

only issue ive had with this torch is the piezo ignition can be a bit inconsistent but once this thing gets lit its incredibly powerful and very effective

I got mine for a future art project. I was buying equipment in drips and drabs. Consequently, I didn't check this worked before the day I went to use it. It didn't work. The gas leaked out of it and went everywhere. It wouldn't ignite at all. Now I'm past the window of return. Make sure you check yours asap.

I bought this to use with a cocktail smoker, and the performance is excellent, producing a tightly-controlled hot flame that ignites the wood chipping instantly. The torch seems to hold a decent amount of gas, and refilling it from a standard butane can is easy. The lock feature is useful, allowing you to keep the burner on while you use it, as the trigger is quite stiff. The only criticism is that the flame control on the base of the unit is fiddly to change when you ae using the torch, and it really doesn't seem to do much to the size of the flame. Overall, a useful torch.
