Good to have available to disinfect cuts and scrapes. Been using 10% Povidone for decades. If you have a garden, work ouside, or have animals, it comes in handy as a topical antiseptic, It is used to kill bacteria, fungi, and viruses on the skin to prevent infection. Always do a patch test to determine if you are sensitive or allergic to iodine.

I have been making a water and iodine solution mix, and using it to clean my dogs paws. It works great and I wouldn’t do anything differently. I loved this product and will be buying it again.

I had to use iodine in a foot soak that was suggested by my podiatrist, after a small surgery. I went to my local drugstore and the cost for a much smaller bottle was twice what this giant bottle cost! Thankfully, this Amazon Basics version is much more affordable and the quantity is much larger than the drugstore version. The iodine worked well, and I have plenty left over for the next time that I need it.
