No. These are lights with glue boards only.

How do I assemble this item, and where does the sticky strip go?

No assemble in required, the WS-85 is shipped assembled. The glue board is placed behind the lamp, you will see stays behind the lamp that you can slide the glue board in for proper placement and to keep it in place.
