Happy Hoodie The Original Dog & Cat Calming Band, Anxiety Relief/Noise Protection-Grooming-Thunder-Fireworks (X-Large, Purple)

I was honestly a bit surprised at how thick the cloth is and how strong the elastic is. Given the price, I thought it would be something that would wear out quickly, but it's a very well made product.I bought it for my friend's spaniel, whose ears are always sopping wet after a walk. I got an M (according to the size charts) and an L (she is on the big side) and both are too tight for her liking. ie, she lets us put it on but she's a little sad about it, then she forgets about it until about the 3/4 mile mark. Around then, it has ridden down so that the front edge is against her throat and pressing there, so she either wants it readjusted or taken off (which we do).It works great to keep the tips of her ears from straggling around and getting super wet. I tried some other elasticized headbands and headwarmers but they didn't work as well. The one that worked the best at keeping her ears up and close to her body so they were away from all the wet grass & leaves was this Happy Hoodie. Re: the tightness/comfort aspect, it seems like snoods are usually used by groomers or to calm a sound-sensitive dog, aka not out on a walk when the dog is exerting themselves, so my use-case is a little out of spec. The product picture of the hound with the blue snood is representative, it really fits that tight on their heads. I can't take any stars off for a product that does what it's supposed to do (keep her ears back) and overall I think this is a good tool, I will just modify it a bit and sew in a panel of knit fabric to loosen it up a bit so we can keep using it on her walks.

I used the happy hoodie for the first time today. My dog is terrified of the high velocity dryer and I hate stressing her out, but with the happy hoodie on, she was much calmer. I found she did not freak out as much. I found this product thanks to the You Tube channel, Girl with the Dogs, and I’m happy that she makes mention of it. I feel that this is going to make the grooms with my dog moving forward less stressful. I’m pleased with the happy hoodie.

This works well but I keep catching the threads with the brush and now its all frayed. It should be cheaper than it is, but it does the job.

This stayed nice and snug on my dog’s head. Protected his ears from the sound and direct wind from the blow dryer. I believe the snugness also gave him comfort.

Got appropriate size. Fits as stated. Does keep ears out. However when is being cold over their head and taken off, you have to use some force to do it and I don’t think on a long-term that will be good for their neck.Update: I had this for less than a month. They didn’t like having these put over their head and they were very tight. Reminded me of extra small legwarmers. I’m imagining after repeated use of trying to get them over their head they may end up with neck injuries, and yes they were the appropriate size.

My dog goes swimming almost every single weekend. He is a 100# German Shepherd with a very plush coat that requires a lot of drying. I have been using this for a long time and just ordered a second one, as he gets dried at the pool and then again at home during Chicago winters. It does a great job protecting his ears from the very loud and powerful grooming dryer. It stays on well, absorbs a lot of water from his head, and is soft and thick. I tried a different (cheaper) brand for my puppy and returned it right away. It was thin and flimsy in comparison. Stick to the original!

It's coyote mating season and my dog Laura can hear them carrying on in the middle of the night and it puts her on alert, makes her nervous which wakes me up in the middle of the night too.. I've tried white noise, chill chewies, they helped but didn't stop it. I wear sleep buds, I wondered if there was anything like that for dogs, I found this! It really works!! I put it on her and she goes to sleep and stays asleep all night, and so do I! 💤💤

I got the small for our chihuahua - westie mix (2 sisters) to help with calming. I may try a larger size, but unfortunately my two did NOT like having the small happy hoodies on. One of them started whining and couldn't find her balance, and the other one started bucking around like a tiny bronco. If I didn't possess empathy, not gonna lie, it would have been hilarious. Anyway, I'm giving it a good rating because it's made well, very soft, and nicely stretchy, and made of a nice, heavier material. It is everything it says it is, it just doesn't happen to work with our two. I'm going to keep trying and use treats to help them ease into it, and if they start reacting better I'll post an update.

I was looking for a snood that fit my tiny dog. This is it!! Great fit and well made. Washed it out and let it air dry. Came out perfect. I did place it inside a lingerie bag to protect it from snagging. Great product!

My yellow lab loves swimming in our pool, but always suffered from water in his ears that sometimes lead to infection. This "snood" ear cover is amazing! He doesn't mind it being on his head at all, and it has dramatically cut down on ear issues. Washes nicely and retains it's shape and stretch. Perfect!

This was purchased as my Yorkie is highly reactive to the dryer and clippers during grooming.
