I have a Warn VR 10000 will this 90287 work on it ?

Should work on it. I have a Warn Zeon 10,500 and it works fine. Has a range of about 50 feet. You could also go on Warn's web site or call their 800 number to verify comparability.

any ideas what would cause this to not work with a Zeon 10-S?

Did you check the batteries? This should fit most Warn Winches with a "D" Style connector. The older winches that are not "D" style connectors and are round will not work, you have to do some modifications inside the winch, which I do not recommend. One reason I bought a new winch.

Will it work on the Warn M 77506 ?

Yes, if it has the "D" shape connector. The remote plugs into it and controller is good for 50'. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE 3/4" - 1" VERTICAL CLEARANCE. It was tight with my Warn Bull Bar, but, works. BTW, I am just a customer.
