Gotta be sure to trim all snap-off plastic nubs completely off
This robot didn't work at all at first. A LOT of troubleshooting found SEVERAL places where just a slight bit of plastic snap-off nub was creating interference preventing motion of gears. Also a couple places where some main parts of plastic pieces had to be trimmed. Once it was finally working it's not bad.Note, however, that advertising it as "powered by the sun - no batteries needed!" is quite a stretch, since it takes a number of minutes to first charge the "battery" (really it's a capacitor) with the sun, which then provides only about 20 seconds of operation. (Fortunately, it also comes with a battery operated option, which is the only really viable option).

Great gift
Bought this as a gift for my 9 year old nephew. He loved it and it came super fast so I would have something in time even though I waited until the last minute! It was also on sale when I bought it as an added bonus!
