They get better
Each of the books in the series have been good and better than the last. I have yet to guess the outcome (other than a happy ending) and have occasionally worried that the current book may have been the last - Mercy getting hurt being one of the worries. I'm now going back to start at the beginning and re-read the lot.

Brilliant
This series is at its best. I love that I can never predict what will happen next. It's on the same par as the Jane Yellowrock series

Disappointing
I always get excited when a new Mercedes Thompson book is released and always reread the previous books in the series to help with the wait and for the first time ever, I was disappointed. There didn’t seem the usual substance in this book and it didn’t flow well in my opinion. This is one of my favourite series to read and I felt let down with this book unfortunately.

Enjoyed it as always
Been reading this series for a LONG time, and Patricia Briggs still manages to make you care about the characters, the stories are still action packed, witty, funny and original! There is alot of Urban fiction out there now compared to 15 years ago, and I tend to find there becomes a certain stereotype for both the main character and the way a story progresses, and given the length of this series you would expect it to become stale, or even repetitive but I've yet to find it so! I continually enjoy every story and the world she has built!

A brilliant storyline
As previously mentioned this is slightly different from the other Mercy books, as it's primarily about Wolfe and his relationship with Bonarata, it builds quite slowly compared to the other books, but it is so worth it.I liked the changing views that Mercy has of Wulfe although he remains the scariest one in the tri-cities. Finding the beginning of Sherwoods memory returning and how they decided to deal with that.Such a good read and listen, cannot wait for the next story

really enjoyed it
if only it was double the length to really satisfy me :Doverall i enjoyed the storyline would like to see even more of Wulfe going forward and for Mercy to be stronger physically herself/ get some self healing powers that the werewolves have. i can't wait for the next book to be out! i can't even see a pre order link so hopefully i'll come across the book when it's released.

Into the abyss!
When people start disappearing, it's up to Mercy and Adam to find out why. A mysterious visit from Marsilia asking them to find Wulfe takes on a darker turn when it looks as if Wulfe is taking the people. Can they work it all out before the danger becomes too much? Will anyone ever understand Wulfe and his madness? I can't wait to read the next book!

Love it
Of the 13 that are out so far, this is one of my favorites. It's funny, the character development is good, Adam is getting the hang of treating Mercy as an independent being instead of someone that needs to be bubble wrapped, the POV chapters are fun, and Tad is definitely starting to take after his father in every way and adding a lot of humor to his character. It's just a good book in general.I'll admit that it's probably not the most action-packed compared to the others; it has more of a focus on character development instead of everything super exciting all the time which added to the story in different ways. The fact that Patricia Briggs can do that - write a book that focuses on the plot more than it focuses on character development and write a book that has a good plot but focuses a lot on character development, adding to the individual characters' stories is impressive. Wulfe has become my favorite character, no question :D His character is more complex than the dangerous crazy vampire. He's funny and whacky and probably a lot sweeter than what he originally portrayed. He is still very obviously dangerous so it's understandable that people tread carefully and it's pretty obvious that his loyalty is to himself and only himself - but he's also very honest. I think it was pretty accurate when Mercy said she thought he was originally an experiment or a pet.It used to be that Stefan was my favorite for awhile but he seems kinda...depressed. He's in love with Mercy, yes, but he (unsuccessfully) tries to hide it because he knows that she doesn't feel the same. I get the impression that Wulfe cares for her in his way but he doesn't try to hide it. I think he stalking her because he's trying to figure out what she did to him and if sure can fix it. It's either that or he's just bored

She is consistant in the quality of her work!
The story in itself is very good however I find myself wanting to read more and more about the other characters and their dynamic. Almost more then the story itself. I want to read more about Kyle and W as a couple. Iwish to see more of Mercy with every member of the pack individually . I want to read more interaction with the citizens as they learn to embrace magic . The story was beautiful but I miss the characters as individuals wish speak to the quality of Miss Birggs work .

Mercy Thompson in salsa horror
