Don't bother wasting $20 on a tube of junk. I don't know how anyone can claim this stays on all day because for me all traces of lip color was gone in 2 hrs. I've worn drugstore & high end long wearing lip color. I can't think of any that I've bought that disappeared in such a short time. I'm not a lip licker & didn't eat or drink in that 2 hrs. I was excited to read that it didn't dry out your lips. This is what hooked me so I ordered both 'Bisou' & 'say Hello'. Both are new colors which are lovely. The matte finish is really nice but there is no staying power whatesoever. I checked the packaging-everything looked proper & new. This is the 1st review I've ever done but felt so strongly that I needed to write one in this case because it turned out to be a product I would have never bought & wasted $40. Save your money!

I really like this formula. It’s longer wearing than regular lipsticks but not drying on my sensitive lips. I can’t comfortably wear most long wear lipsticks because they burn. The comfort means a little sacrifice in longevity though. So you have to weigh what’s more important to you. I also like the matte finish and the applicator tip. The applicator helps me get the best definition without requiring a liner.I tried Bisou which is a cross between lavender and mauve. The color is a bit light for my taste. I like this formula enough that I’m wanting to try other colors.

Dare is advertised as a matte and deep purple in color. When applied, it is a much, much lighter color. Very disappointing. I purchased two because I wanted the rich color advertised. Unfortunately, the products used the make Dare caused my lips to blister. So not only was the color falsely advertised but I can’t wear the lipstick because of what it does to my lips.I tried returning them but the seller said they don’t take used products back even though I clearly stated I only opened one and can’t use it because of my allergic reaction to the lipstick. Seller also said that if I retuned it I would be charged. I will just toss. Not worth the hassle and I lose money on a product that falsely displays the color.

In a sea of reviews paid for and reimbursed, I implore you to read mine. Just before mask mandates I started getting into matte liquid lipstick. (Great timing, am I right)? Since I'd been using my very cheap ones (NYX and elf) so religiously, I decided it was time to invest in a better brand. Enter this Julep stuff.Feel me when I say I'm not sure I've ever made such a bad beauty decision, and I used to use that St Ives apricot sandpaper scrub. Worst. Decision. Ever. I hate both the color and the absolute refusal of this product to STAY IN PLACE like other matte liquids. The search continues--I've heard Morphe and Beauty Bakerie are good contenders.TLDR: DO NOT BUY THIS, unless you like your lip color anywhere and everywhere.

I read the reviews of this product being dried out or old, but I thought maybe the seller had corrected it. NOPE!! When you can see large spaces in the bottle and it doesn't go away when you shake it, that means it's starting to dry out. A brand new, sealed, unopened product shouldn't be dried out. I don't understand why this seller continues to sell old, dried-out product, but they should be ashamed of themselves! BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK! The 1 star is for the color, cause it is the PERFECT pinky nude! Just wish I could wear it.

Best shade of nude, and it’s not so matte that your mouth feels like chalk- you have the perfect combination of moisture & matte and the shade is so natural. I must add that the bottle it’s in is so chic. Love it, will definitely be ordering more once I run out of my first bottle. Obsessed!

I bought 2 different shades (Bisou and Lip Lock) at the same time and both arrived completely dried out. I saw other reviews saying the same thing, but opted to give it a try in hopes that it was just a bad batch and the vendor made a correction. I've never tried this brand before so I can't speak to how it wears. I do not plan to try and order any more, just returning these and looking for a different brand.

This is the first time I have used a Julep product and I have to say I am quite impressed. The color is beautiful and it feels great. It is long wearing but not all day; which I am okay with. Most all day lip wear is very drying and by the end of the day it doesn’t look very attractive. The Julep Matte Lip Mousse stays on for quite awhile but will need to be reapplied. For me, it lasted for several hours before I reapplied it but I was touching up my make up anyway.
