I had asked a question of the community, and of Pwr+ regarding an older Wester Digital 1TB My Book WD100000H1CS-00 to see if this Pwr+ Adapter would fit, and power my device. I lost the original adapter somewhere and I am sending the drive to college with my son, so I need a new adapter.I am missing several adapters to several of my older external WD Drives... most likely because I put them away in a bag in the attack and no one is going to find them until they are dividing my stuff after they bury me six-feet under. At any rate, I ordered one (1) of this model which did not indicate, or list it was designed for the ester Digital 1TB My Book WD100000H1CS-00 model. Happy to say, I hooked it up today and it works flawlessly. You can add this adapter to the "YES" column. I will work with the WD My Book 1TB WD100000H1CS-00.

Charger works great, I lost my charger while moving and needed this in a pinch, came next day! I have a 5 year old WD edition 2.0 500G model, and the spec code is actually labeled wrong on this item online, but this charger does work for the Wd5000h1u-00 (the site has it listed as Wd500h1u-00; missing a zero).*Side note (for anyone trying to fix a completely broken WD with a possible new charger), if you accidentally knock over your WD (the older ones at least) while its running, you can loose everything and it will cost thousands to fix. I learned the hard way!

I went to Radioshack to buy a replacement adapter for a ten-year-old external hard drive, but Radioshack didn't have any thing the met the qualifications. I found this adapter on Amazon and it met my specifications perfectly. It was affordable, and reliable. This adapter works perfectly, and it will probably last another ten years.

I bought this for my WD Mybook harddrive, and it felt like I finally found the one to match my harddrive after buying two on here that simply do not fit or don't work with it.UPDATE: They want me to pay return it, and pay the return shipping costs to get my refund. Truly the worst service you could get from someone who sells a defective product.Now my Harddrive won't turn on, and the light on this power adapter is dim and blinks nonstop. The manual makes no reference to this, and there is nothing on the internet to help me interpret what the dim blinking light means. I'm going to assume the worst and that it destroyed my harddrive, and simply warn others not to buy this.
