i have what you would call "sweet blood" so living in florida i need serious mosquito repellent. we all know the dangers of deet and i found picaridin in my search for alternatives to it. Picaridin is a synthetic compound created to mimic piperidine, a natural compound found in pepper plants. Not only does it repel mosquitoes and no see ums, it also repels biting flies, gnats, chiggers, and fleas. It has been available in the EU since the 90s and is considered safe.Other picaridin products are usually lotions, so when I found Off had a spray version of picaridin i had to try it. this works VERY well. even when i am at the lake at a wooded area, i will end the day with maximum 1-2 bites when i would normally get dozens.there's only a subtle smell and its not bad, its not greasy, it's overall exactly what you would want in an insect repellent. compared to other similar options it's very cost effective as well.

Does exactly what the advertising says. Pleasant aroma, keeps the bugs away, and doesn’t feel greasy when applied.Costs a little more and with every penny.Now if Johnson & Johnson can get the Jets to the playoffs or the Super Bowl then I feel the $100’s is thousands of $$$ wasn’t wasted on a crappy football team.New season new hope!!!

Mosquitos love me, so I've always had to use a bug repellent if I were going to be outdoors for more than a few minutes. I hate the way most sprays feel on your skin—heavy and sticky— and I hate the way they smell. Off "clean feel" sprays in a light mist, has no scent, dries fast, and you can't even feel it on your skin. Best of all, it works great!

I am apparently delicious to mosquitos and get bitten way more than the average person. PROS:Works very well when applied correctly. Spray everywhere skin is exposed (note - if you get bitten through your clothes, apply and let dry before getting dressed). Works best when rubbed in.Washes off hands easily. Skin dries pretty quickly and doesn’t leave it feeling sticky or oily.Love the spray can - much easier application than pump bottleCONS:Very strong scent. Apply outside if possible then walk away. Scent does not linger very long on you.Be careful not to get it on your shoes and other clothing - it may damage the texture and/or color. Happened to my red flip flops.

This bug spray?? Honestly iconic. It’s non-aerosol (so I’m not fogging up the campsite like I’m DJ-ing a rave) and it doesn’t make me feel like I need to shower in regret after applying it. The texture is light, not sticky, and I don’t end up smelling like “DEET and desperation.” Instead, it’s subtle. It’s soft. It’s giving “I lightly repel bugs but also probably own a houseplant.”Most importantly: it works. I used it during peak mosquito hours while sitting outside pretending I live in a Nancy Meyers movie and not next to a mosquito breeding swamp, and guess what? I didn’t get eaten alive. That’s the dream.Also, since it’s a pump spray, I can apply it without chasing clouds of aerosol mist and coughing like I just walked into a middle school locker room. It’s clean. It’s controlled. It’s civilized bug defense.If you want to be outdoorsy but not on the menu, this is your girl.

Mosquitos LOVE me, and I am allergic to their stings, so insect repellent is a must for me during warmer months. I was intrigued when I spotted this DEET-free product from OFF! It worked great until I sweated it off in a typical Oklahoma summer afternoon. That can happen with any bug spray. Fortunately, this can is small enough (5 oz) to tuck into your bag without it taking up too much room. It says it is "Fragrance Free," but it still smells like bug spray, and I still choked on it when accidentally inhaling some during application. However, it lives up to it's promise not to feel sticky or gross on your skin.

Works great and no (DEET) smell! Not oily feeling on the skin. I don't have take a shower before going to bed after evening use. No bites from mosquitos and "no-see-ums" when I water flower beds in the evening, or go camping at my favorite lake campground.

Works great and after initial gag from the smell it goes away quickly and there's no lingering odor. It works great!! Took it up the UP at all the lakes and didn't get but at all and mosquitoes and flies love me! I reapplied after a few hours but, I probably didn't need to. Definitely will be purchasing again.
