Simple yet sturdy
Used these to make a DIY baby gate using parts of an old crib and it perfectly. It was installed at top of the stairs where the baseboard, banister, door trim, and stair railing all made it impossible to install typical gates. This hinge not only looks great but feels super sturdy

Good product, not heavy duty!
Good product but definitely not heavy duty. Does the job. Screws do not fit well as they do not sit flush. Based on the thickness of the hinge, the screws would have to be much smaller and therefore not do the job that well.

Fine, but cheap
Hinges work well, but the screws that come with it do not hold any torque. First use has left several screw bodies buried in the ideal spot for the hinge and the heads in the trash. Moved the hinges around and used my own wood screws.

Great hinges, just not long enough for my project and that's my fault
Nothing wrong with these; I sent them back because they weren't quite long enough for my project once I got them. I did think they could have been heavier and more substantial. I'd probably call them 'medium duty' instead of heavy duty. We were going to use them as decorative hinges on our DIY board and batten shutters. I ended up getting 8 inch hinges instead. But like I said, nothing wrong with these.

Wrong size screws
Hinges were as indicated in the description. Problem are the screws that were included. The screws were too big for these hinges. The screw heads are beveled and the hinges pre drilled hole are not so if you use these screw the screw heads stand proud of the holes. Looks bad..

Decent Hinges, Smaller Sized
Got these for the Genny Shed door. They do the job. Only used three of them, have two left over for another use somewhere.

The hinges seem to be good quality and just the size I needed. However the screws are garbage. The screw head stripped half way down and when I went to remove it it snapped off completely. thinking it was just that screw I tried again. Only this time the head snapped off before it had time for the star to strip. Why people continue to use the star screws is beyond me. They are garbage. I would suggest going and getting your own screws
