Unpretentious Whole Wheat Flour, 1 Gallon, Hard Red Wheat, Baking & Cookies, Breads & More

I liked the bread I made with this flour and I also made home made noodles and was happy with the results.

Flour was fine, but I cannot get behind the misleading advertising of this product. I will take some responsibility for not reading the description well and going off the photo. It’s not honest to post a picture of flour that states a net weight of 7.7 kg when the product is actually 6 lbs (approx 2.7 kg)…I blew through this flour in less than 2 weeks since I bake tons. If you buy a 5 lb bag of flour from the local grocer it only runs somewhere between $5-$9, not $28. On a positive, I scored a reusable bucket for my future flour purposes.

One star because it arrived with lid slightly ajar, with flour puffing out. So, not only did it not come with an inner Mylar sealed bag but because the lid was not properly sealed I won’t know if the lid is now airtight. Not what you want in a long term survival canister. I will now have to transfer it into a Mylar bag with oxygen absorbers.

The first time I bought this it had a metal handle and the lid came off easily. This shipment had a plastic handle and it literally took 25 minutes to get the lid off. I had to take scissors to it, carefully cutting so as not to slip and injure myself. There is a place where you are to pull and the plastic holding the lid in two places comes off and the lid separates from the bucket. That but off plastic did not pull. This has to be changed. The product is good but not worth 25 minutes off my life and the danger of puncturing or slicing myself!

Attempted 3 batches of bread with this - it's old and not good for baking. Waste of money
