TO TURN OFF HOURLY BEEP:1. Press and hold SPLIT/RESET.2. Press MODE until all bars across the top disappear.(All bars = beep on hour. Alarm will resume after 5 minutes.It's inexpensive and works well when you know how to use it, but I had to *really* research how to use it, so it ended up being expensive when you consider that TIME is MONEY. :-)

The stopwatch seems to function well, however the instructions are in English (with regard to the vocabulary) but are not in English (with regard to the grammar). The case is constructed of ABS plastic, and the display is reasonably large and easy to use.I have not yet opened the back (there are 5 small Phillips head screws) to see if the battery is a standard size and may be easy to replace, however this stopwatch also has a clock and there does not appear to be a way to turn it off. I am a little concerned about battery life if it is not replaceable (since it arrived with the clock running, and no way to tell how long it had been in operation before it had been received by me).The string / cord it comes with looks like parachute cord, but is not as strong. That makes it less durable, however the softer material makes it more comfortable for someone who would wear it around their neck. There is a plastic slider on the cord, which does not have a 'clip' or other way to secure it in place, so it seems to be more for aesthetics than anything else.Over all, it seems to be a decent value in a quality / value assessment in my estimation.

They work but a few of them "chirp" consistently which makes me think there's a defect and they won't be around when we need them next.
