Well made and looks good
I've been using my new water bottle for a few days now and I've been very happy with it. It seals up well and I haven't had any trouble with it leaking. The taste of copper takes a while to get use to but it's not bad, just different. Update, I've been using this water bottle daily for the past 7 months without any problems. I've washed it 3-4 times with dish soap and water and I only drink alkaline water out of it so the inside is just as clean as when I first got it. It's pure copper so the outside is somewhat discolored (I'm a mechanic so I get all kinds of chemicals on my hands), I've dropped it a few times so it's got some dents, I've frozen too much water in it causing the bottom to push out (I just tapped it back in with a hammer) and it still stays sealed. I like that you can stick it in the freezer with just a little water in it and the water will freeze in 5-10 min. then you can fill it up and have cold water very quickly. I'm still very happy with this water bottle and just ordered another one for a close friend. 2 1/2 year update with photo- this thing has been used all day every day for the past 30 months and it's got some wear and tear but it's still great. I washed it very well when I first got it but it doesn't need to be cleaned much if you only drink water out of it. It's tarnished but not corroded, it has plenty of dents but it's copper so that's expected, and I did have to remove the seal on the lid because the threads had worn out but it still closes tight just not water tight. I intend to keep using this water bottle forever so I'm happy with my purchase.

Beautiful and distinctive bottle, plus outstanding customer service
An exemplary piece of all-copper craftsmanship, one that stands out from other water bottles, especially those unattractive and environmentally unfriendly plastic ones. The copper is polished and shiny on arrival, but through use and natural oxidation will acquire a lovely mottled patina. Of course, if you prefer the new-penny look, you can easily polish the bottle from time to time. The hefty screw-cap, also all copper, comes with a thick rubber seal that prevents the contents from leaking.Like all uninsulated metal containers, this one is neither meant nor suitable for hot liquids, since the copper will immediately take on the temperature of whatever liquid it contains. Likewise, don't leave this bottle in your vehicle on a hot day if you don't want your water to be equally hot.The bottle I ordered arrived with a tiny dent near the bottom. The dent didn't affect the bottle's functionality or beauty in any way, but I thought this small "defect" might be of interest to the manufacturer, Fredrik Olsen. So, with the help of a business card that came with the bottle, I emailed Fredrik a few photos of the dent. Within minutes, he replied not only with an apology, but also with the news that a replacement bottle would arrive two days later -- which it did -- even though I insisted that a replacement was totally unnecessary. In sum, if you're looking for an aesthetically pleasing and environmentally friendly water bottle, backed up by a manufacturer with integrity, then you've found it.

Exactly what I wanted. Great quality. Beautiful shine.
I like the bottle over some other because the lid is 100% metal so no plastic threads and still 100% leak proof. The Kosdeg is amazing I was shiped the wrong bottle at first, they replied right away had a new bottle ship out that day and let me keep the mistake.Water tastes good out of it, no heavy metal taste always tastes fresh very satisfied with my purchase can't wait to get a pitcher!

Very nice copper container but you may start to detox!
I love this beautiful container. I got it for the medicinal benefits. I stopped using it because my skin started to break out...I'm thinking I'm either detoxing or it's too much copper intake. I only drank one in the copper container a day, but still take care if you buy. It is only leak proof if closed really really tight so be sure to do that...saw some nicks around the spout from inception, but with handmade it is to be expected. very nice quality, just not sure if it is too much copper for me, or if it is doing what it should to aid me--a mystery

Copper changes after being exposed to water
I don't know what I was thinking when I bought this. Periodically I buy into slick marketing, and this was unfortunately one of those times. "Water will taste better!" "You will drink more!" Here's the thing: if you remember to put any bottle of water in the refrigerator overnight, it will always taste better because it's colder. If you put water in this which isn't cold, it just tastes like water. No difference. Also, there is a strong recommendation from the manufacturer to clean this every day, and there's an excellent reason why: you're battling how copper changes when it's exposed to water. After two months, I'm starting to get that strong metallic scent when I go to take a sip, and the bottle is becoming more and more difficult to screw and unscrew. It's corroding. That's what copper does in water. I keep trying to scrub the portions where my lips hit with the scrub side of my sponge, but I'm gradually losing the battle.I regret wasting my money on this. Do yourself a favor and buy a regular thermos, and put it full of water into your refrigerator at night. The water will still taste deliciously cold and make you want to drink more, and you won't have to deal with corrosion.
