it took about 1.5 hours to charge. This was to replace a corded hedge trimmer, much easier to use and surprisingly light. I am petite and 70 years old and it was fine for me. Trimmed several hedges and did not run out of battery, so very pleased and did not tire me. Build quality is good and felt safe. The function where you can turn the handle wasn’t something I feel I would use as not necessary. So in conclusion a good all over design with good functionality.

Needed something to trim a fair sized hedge without having to mess around with extension leads and stop/starting because it always rains when I actually get the time to do the job.This is one of the best things I’ve bought on impulse and I’d done the job within 24 hours.It’s easy to manage and trimmed a fairly well established conifer hedge back to where I wanted it to go.

Well worth it. Surprised how much can be done on a single charge. Safer than a mains one.

I already have a petrol cutter and a corded electric trimmer. The petrol one is for serious branches and the electric was for keeping hedges tidy through the year. But I have recently moved into a home with a much bigger garden and there would be more extension cable than I want to use. So I decided to buy a lightweight battery beast.Once I had used Mr Petrol Cutter to chop everything to the height and boundaries that I wanted this Hyundai has been ideal to keep everything within borders. Including some bushes the name of which I do not know but seem to want to rampage across the garden.Battery life is sufficient for me to go round the whole perimeter in one go. I gather that the battery is compatible with other Hyundai tools but I can't say from my own experience.Will cut privet up to about 3/4 inch thick without too much complaint but I feel that's slightly outside it's design parameters. This is for lightweight tidying and shaping once the garden is as desired and to keep on top of it.The construction feels adequate and the controls provide a safety interlock without being too fiddly or onerous. The weight is about right for being waved at hedges without being too tiring on the wrists and arms.It arrived in good time with a battery that was almost fully charged so it was out of the box and chopping hedge straightawa.Some reviewers have complained about the noise. I feel that it's about average compared to what the neighbours are using and I wear hearing protection with power tools anyway.To sum up, ideal for maintaining a good sized garden.
