Nice bounce and spring action for two adults-Just what we wanted.
This is our second set of swing springs. The first were WAAAAAY to stiff, with essentially no spring action. This spring set was labeled at 440# working load. I was concerned this may have applied to each spring. Have no way to really check this but with the swing and two adults, the spring action seems about right, so they met expectations with a load of about 450#. There is considerable safety margin engineered into items like springs and I noted that one reviewer said they placed three adults on their swing at a load of about 700# and felt it was OK. Either way, these springs provided a nice bounce at the load we placed on them. I rated only 4 stars the hook openings in the ends of the springs are a little too closed. The chain that came with my swing has a diameter of about 3/16ths and would not pass through the opening. The spring is to stiff to just push through, and spreading with a screwdriver didn't work. I had to drive something into the opening with a hammer to spread it enough to slide the chain in. Of course, once the chain was in and the spreader removed, the opening closed back up and the chain won't come out. My eyelets had a slight opening so it wasn't a problem to hook the spring to the mount. Another reviewer made a similar observation so this was not unique to me. The thin, bent chains seen on most swings wouldn't have been a problem, but a thicker, welded chain was. The manufacturer should open the gap slightly, or people with thicker chains should expect to spread the opening a bit to slide the chain in. Were pleased with the outcome and this set was half the cost of many of the others. A good purchase.

Does the job as advertised.
Although there wasn't much helpful information on this product I ordered it anyway, since it was advertised for the purpose I needed them for. Fortunately the springs where perfect for the job of holding up a heavy porch swing. They are HD enough to support at least 400 lbs. See the following for those whom want to know the dimensions: The overall length from hook to hook it is 6.75"; the outside diameter is 1.3125" and the wire size is approximately 7/32 diameter.

Helps remove the stiffness and increases comfort
I am using them for single hanging chairs. The spring stiffness is perfect. That 400lb rating sounds right on for 2 of them because using one at a little under 200lbs. with the chair gives it a good bounce. Stretches about 2" with out moving and maybe 3 if you bounce around. The chair just felt so stiff and uncomfortable before installing this. Very happy purchase!

Works Great
I bought these for my new porch swing because the chains that they usually put with them are not the strongest and I didn't want to go crashing down while swinging with my grandkids. They work very nicely so that no sudden stress is put upon the chain and there's a smoothness to the swing.

solid/sturdy
Glad we picked these. Using them for a hammock on some wide ser tree's and they are way out performing what we hoped.

Very good
It takes up to 500 lb of weight, which is good enough for 3 people. Works perfectly fine for my swing.

Love the springs
Love the springs. I bought 7 packs. The only problem I had was one of the sets hook attachments was opened to much & was afraid it might slip off the swing chain

Just the thing
Ordered this to go with a Trex swing I have hanging from my pergola. The springs are strong and absorb the impact of someone sitting or swinging high so there's less force against the wood or the screws. Really glad I found these.
