Great little thing, weighs less than a box of carling lol
Emergency buy, I work in the motor trade and usually have access to a argon set up at work but my daughter was learning steel pan music and the school was desperate to have one fixed that had a 7 inch crack, didn't have time to take it to work as it was for a charity concert, ordered this, came same day, welded the crack up, happy school, even happier kid, I'd recommend and I've yet to use the arc side but overall great cheap get out of jail free unit, well built, welding torch is lovely, everything's very robust and the settings are easy to function.

Low Cost, Good Performance, Hard to fault if you have realistic expectations for a small MIG.
To be clear you are not going to be producing perfect welds in thick material with this welder...... because it's the size of a shoe box and is in no way capable of putting out the amps required to do that. What you can do is a wide range of sensible tasks that a low power MIG or half decent stick welder could manage in a package that is tiny and highly portable. In these scenarios it's performance is more than adequate! Need to smoke an exhaust bracket back on, it'll do that. Weld a gate up? Yep it can manage that. Stick a bracket on a bit of sheet steel, got that too. You could probably even do some automotive panel work with it if you were well practised and had it dialed in just right.Settings are very straight forward and self explanatory, wire install is a piece of cake (although a decent flux core wire will see you way ahead of what comes with it!). The stick holder that it comes with is okay, the Mig torch a little better than okay (it's a gas torch but obviously without the gas!) and general build quality is pretty decent. One thing that should be stressed is just how tiny and therefore portable this is, it is so small there is no excuse for not having a welder kicking about to solve those "fell off on a Sunday" issues as it will pack away into the smallest of cupboards. Some have mentioned a section of PCB exposed within the welder when the door is opened, however the one I received appears to be a V2 as this has a cover plate fitted in this area.Really good tool to have on hand!

Impressive welder for the money.
This is a cracking little welder. It weighs almost nothing but is very capable. Its also very controllable and you can accurately weld some very thin metal. I didnt expect too much for the money, but I'm actually really impressed by it.

Car welding
Bought it to weld van sills. Good bit of kit and easy to use. Had a few issues with feeding wire through at first setup but apart from that a good machine.

Does the job at an affordable price
I had not picked up a welding torch in 40 years, now retired I fancied another try. This was a bargain at £95 and to my surprise the tiny box of tricks really did pack a punch, the MIG welder is all I have tried so far, it came with a coil of fluxed wire,so I assembled the kit and gave it a go. The loading of the wire is a bit fiddly, take care not to release the tension on the coil of wire, there is a very helpful video to follow, wish I had, my wire uncoiled like a clock spring, but after a little faffing it was back in place and ready to go. The tip was .8 the wire was point .8, I had to swap the tip for a 1mm to make the feed work. The feed seems to have one speed, just pull the trigger and flow the weld at the wire speed and all is well. I managed to weld down both side of a tent peg, onto a sheet of steel with each. I checked the reverse of the steel sheet and the weld had penetration was great, 50% left nob and about 70v did the trick. I also managed to reattach a stainless steel handle to a kitchen appliance, finer stuff, but very little problemThis little welder appears to do the job, it is a quarter of the weight of my last machine, and so far is easy to use.I would recommend this for home and DIY use, low cost, but does the job.

Excellent little welder. Better than my bigger Transformer welders
I don't usually leave reviews but this little welder is so good for the price I thought I needed too. When it arrives in a box not much bigger than a shoe box it has you thinking it's just going to be useless. Once out of box and all set up for mig welding which is straight forward, your read to go. I bought it to weld a letter box size hole in out sill of car. It's welded the the plate on with such ease. No messing about with wire jamming or welder overheating. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a quick and easy to use hobby welder.

No good
Don't wast your money I've not used mine till today 03.04 it ran for 10 mins but now it doesn't push the wire through . It does turn on, but the way I just will not go through. I took the spool off. And reset all again, but no joy, don't waste your money.

Easy to use
I bought this to do a few small repair jobs (Not car-based.)Set up was easy and it worked well when plugged into a normal (UK) domestic socket. The adjustments worked well and were simple.Overall, for the price a handy unit.
