Great condition, still works even though I play it on repeat quite a bit!

If you want to know what it was like to have been there, or just enjoy this groundbreaking music from a magical time in history, it doesn't get any better than this. If you are from Texas, or have any connection to the State, this is essential. I can't begin to cover all the various angles and perspectives represented by the music and its commentary on contemporary early-70's society; it goes well beyond knee-slapping laughter and comic entertainment. It's that, plus heavy at the same time. Well, nothing more I can say except "5 Stars" in my book...this one and "Sold American". And to top it all, Kinky appears likely to be the next Governor of Texas in 2006. I think there's hope for the World. "Thank ya very much!" "You're welcome Kinky"

A classic Kinky Friedman concert recording from the '70s. This has been available on the internet for some years (in mono) but I've never been able to download it, so this (stereo) release is a real treat. Some of the tracks previously appeared on the 1992 compilation "Old Testaments and New Revelations", but this is the entire one hours show, with all the between song banter. Another great release from Little Jewford's Sphincter Records. Recommended!!!

Man muss schon Kinky- Fan sein, um diese CD zu kaufen, aber vielleicht wird man es ja nach dem ersten Hören: Es geht hier nicht um klassischen Schmalz-Country,a la "I am a poor lonesome cowboy";der Typ ist politisch inkorrekt, die Texte dem entsprechend.
