Without a doubt one of the most brilliant ideas in the world to have fun with, you do get a smile with every spin no matter what the spinner is??!!

This is a cool looking bird. I put a spot of silicone sealer on the wing's plastic rods. Then pushed the wing rods in the holes in the spool that rotates. So far the wings have stayed on in some strong winds. The rod that the bird sits on is hollow and did not let this bird point freely into the wind. I took an old drill bit and pushed it into the rod leaving the blunt end sticking out about 1/4 inch. It now rotates free like a weather vane into the wind. So with a few modifications mine works good. A few doves attacked it briefly, but now they ignore it. Hope this review helps.
