I have to say, I was a bit dubious of the quality and cutting performance of a $14 pair of cutting shears until I received these. You won't find a comparable pair at a box store... at least not at this price. The build quality and heft of these shears is very good overall -Excellent when their price is also considered. The cutting performance of these shears is amazing to me. I had been working with some denim when these arrived so I thought I would test them on denim (some shears can be a bit hesitant cutting through the 4 layers of a side seam); starting with 1 layer, I worked up to cutting easily through over 12 layers of heavy denim. Obviously, the more layers you cut through, the more force you have to apply- with that said, I was amazed (hard to do) with how easily these shears cut through everything! Now, aside from testing the cutting ability of a pair of scissors, I would probably never be attempting to cut through 12 layers of any fabric but I am certainly likely to cut through multiple layers of heavier fabrics which these shears ease through. As I have not had them long, I can not comment on the overall hardness of the steel and how long they will hold their incredible sharpness but I am quite hopeful (and thankfully I know how to easily sharpen shears).I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO PURCHASE THESE AGAIN!

For the price and quality I received, I would definitely buy and recommend these sizzers. I just breezed through cutting 4 blankets. No issues and great cuts.

These scissors are no joke. Really great for cutting ribbon professionally for tying bags and wrapping gift boxes. Great value and seem to really holding up. They are heavier than regular scissors and sharp. They get the job done. Let’s see how long they stay sharp! Great value.

I desperately needed a good pair of big, sharp, strong shears while stuck partway through a project. These came quickly in a nice box with a plastic sheath and fit the bill! I was pleasantly surprised since I was hoping to avoid a high price but needed something of quality for the snag I hit in my project. The scissors arrived very sharp but with a thick coating of oil on them which took some time to wipe off, especially in the joint. However, I was glad to see how it protected the blades since I've ordered other metal things from amazon that arrive rusty. I made several test cuts in fabric (these will never touch paper!) and then turned to my project... these went right through the 11 layers of fabric and batting I needed to trim without hurting my hand or tiring me out! The metal weight is very nice and the hand loops are coated with a rubber/plastic coating which makes them a bit more grippy and less cold. I admire the foresight in making these blades detachable for sharpening. Most knife/scissors sharpeners can't get the whole length of the blade sharp if the scissors stay attached. I love these, and I think my daughter might want a pair after seeing mine. Beautiful, professional-feeling shears! I'm very very pleased I bought them!

Surprisingly light, nimble and easy to use. It’s now my go-to shear and I’m glad I bought it.
