MK CONSUMER UNIT AMEND 3 METAL CLAD 10 WAY SPLIT LOAD + 10 MCB'S Y7666sMET

Firstly, if the box had been correctly wired, it would have got five stars. Now I am a skilled electrical mechanical engineer with 50 years on the job behind me. When I fitted the unit and wired up the old wiring to the new mcb's anything connected to the RCD 2 just kept tripping it out. Also, neither of the test buttons worked. When I downloaded a schematic of a 2 RCD split circuit, it was nothing like what they provided. So, an hour checking all the wiring and then repositioning their main neutral wires and it now works faultlessly. RCD test buttons all in order. This is a quality unit made by MK and would recommend it. I don't recommend it if you are not skilled in the witchcraft that is electricity, any lesser person would do their brain in. Just a tongue in cheek comment here..... Perhaps it is done on purpose to F up the non skilled out there and provide work for electricians, who knows! Good value.
