High quality Sabatier brand product. I started using Sabatier knives in 1967 on starting work as a Commis Chef and still own a few of my original set. This knife is typical of the Sabatier dedication to perfection. It sharpens itself as it is taken from or returned to its sheath which has an inbuilt sharpener which really works well. I can recommend this product to anyone who prepares food commercially or in their own kitchen. 10 out of 10👍

Great little utility knife. Cannot go wrong with Sabatier products. This has a weight feel, well balanced and sharp. The sheath that protects the knife….and you, had a little metal inbuilt sharpener so that every time you use the knife its blade gets a quick sharpening. Highly recommend

It's sharp, weighty and very affordable. However, the slightly rough finish on the blade means food sticks, making the santoku style fluting redundant.

Extremely disappointing purchase! I have a number of Sabatier knives all of which are fantastic... However, this one has broken that run. To start with, it's not sharp. Secondly, the handle is horrible, the joins are uneven meaning that the handle isn't smooth. The metal based of the handle isn't smooth either and is really unpleasant to hold. Unfortunately the knife was taken out and used or it would be going straight back (it's already in the second drawer and it's u likely to ever see the light of day again). I find it hard to believe that this could be the genuine article and that Sabatier would produce something so awful. I'm sure if it was a genuine one my review would be glowing, unfortunately I don't believe it is and my review certainly isn't. In conclusion, be careful here because there are clearly terrible versions about.... As for the one I received - it sucks and I absolutely won't be buying them again from here

I had to buy a new knife because all my other ones so blunt, and I was putting in so much elbow grease just trying to chop up my veg. One of my old neighbours said to me that I should get a Sabarier knife. So that’s what I did.It arrived with a safety guard on it, which is great because I keep it stored in the cupboard with the guard on.It’s sharper than my other knives which is what I wanted and cuts through veg well. I did give this knife a 3 out of 5 star because I think that’s it could still be a bit sharper.Overall I’m satisfied with the purchase and the knife is functional and practical.
