These pins are really cute, but as others have stated a few of the backings are defective. If you use these on a button-down shirt without an under shirt, the backing will rub your skin raw because it’s sharp and abrasive. I’d suggest getting flat pin backings to supplement if you buy these.

I like the general appearance of most of these sets and appreciate that you get a lot for the price (I believe about 40 sets - 80 total pins). However, at least 2 had defective backs that were immediately noticable and wouldn't stay fastened, and at least 3 others came with imperfections in the designs (so that they didn't match their partner). The first pair I wore to fasten a sweater that doesn't have any buttons to the front of my dress so it wouldn't constantly fall or blow open and turn itself into a cape. By the end of 2 hours, the back of one fell off and I lost the pin. It was very disappointing since it had been one of my favorite sets. It makes me very leary of wearing these at all when you don't know how much of the day they'll actually work. I wish they attached in a different way - more like a safety pin maybe - so that it would be a lot harder for them to pop off so easily. They might be better when used strictly for decorative purposes (like on a hat or scarf maybe?). I did wear a different set on another day and came back home with both intact, so... we'll just see how long they last ultimately. Thank goodness you do get a lot! Otherwise I would say they're definitely not worth the money! Meanwhile, I would suggest having a pair or two of backups available with you if using in place of buttons.

They are great not too expensive for the amount and variety. I wanted them to hold my wrap over tops in place and they work great not too big. Hubby pinched a couple as tie pins.
