This comb is pricey but worth the money. I have a Maine Coon mix cat that I got from the shelter 8 years ago. She has long hair with a thick undercoat that mats terribly. She has always hated being combed, which is the only way to get through to the undercoat, and prevent mats. For some reason she likes this comb!I ordered this pretty, sparkly, purple comb thinking I might better tolerate getting scratched bloody, if I was at least using something pretty. When it arrived it was ugly dull and black. But it worked great! Still, I was disappointed because I wanted the pretty purple comb. Contacted the seller and they sent me the beautiful purple comb, free of charge! :)

I bought this for my new Lagotto puppy that will have a tight curly coat. Getting below the under coat is so important to keeping him free of mats.

My Sheep-A-Doodle is not a pro at getting combed every day. This is significantly easier to hold than most combs and that means more control so he does not get hurt as well as a shorter time getting combed. I will not buy another type of comb. I will probably buy another of this so that I can have a backup.

Our youngest Great Pyrenees/Lab mix, has a very dense coat. Several teeth broke in his first comb through another company online order. By the time I was done combing, my hand hurt from gripping the narrow handled comb. The slicker brush with extra long teeth works well, but it can only do so much getting through to the bottom of all that hair. This comb is easier on my hands to hold and grip and it's a very sturdy comb. Our gentle giant enjoys the care and attention and the comb really gets underneath to the skin to get the hair out without too much fuss from our lengthy combing session and he looks beautiful!!

This is a a great comb. I can use it without pain from my arthritis and hold it comfortably. Now it’s easier to comb my little Pomeranian, I know it’s easier on her. I have a course one too and just ordered the combo one. I have all three combs. They are fantastic.

I groom a lot of big hairy beast dogs and this comb is a hand saver. I've had it for a good while now and it has held up. I recommend this to anyone who has a hairy coated dog like samoyeds, newfies, great pyrenees, etc.

This is a great comb for brushing my poodle. I purchased it because a friend had one and I liked the feel and function of the tool. However, the one I received is not as well made. The rivets that hold the comb in the frame are not tight, so the tines move slightly and make a dinging sound when brushing. It's functional, just not as solid as the one my friend has.

Was recommended to use this comb for our Samoyeds who have deep double coats. Has worked well and makes the daily groom much easier.

This is a comb everyone with a double coated dog should have. Fits well in your hand, either left or right and gets down to the skin on double coated dogs. Used in addition to a dematter and a finishing finer comb it is my go to with my Australian Shepherds.

I didn't really liked the handle part of this comb, but my mom loves it! It's durable, it works wonders on my Bernese Mountain dog and on the Newfoundland dog! Everyone else but me loves it, so its great!
