Calmed our high anxiety dog
Our dog has always had high anxiety. She's afraid of strangers, especially men. She's afraid of us if we're carrying large things or if we make loud, unexpected noises. She's terrified of fireworks and thunderstorms, to the point where she would climb in bed with us and try to burrow under our pillow and dig at the bed trying to dig a hole through it to be safe.We started these hemp treats shortly before the 4th of July this year. We saw almost an immediate change in her. She still doesn't like all of the above mentioned things, but she doesn't freak out like she used to. She doesn't tremble and try to dig. She will still come be near us, but she isn't shaking or panting. She just lays down. It doesn't effect her personality, she isn't dopey from them. She's still her normal crazy self, running around and playing with her brother dog. She just has a sense of calmness when it comes to stressful situations. Last time we had friends over, she barked a bit and was nervous because they were men, but she calmed much quicker and actually came up to them for sniffs and kisses within the first 10 minutes of their arrival. We thought we'd just use these for firework season, but for our high anxiety girl, they are worth every penny and she eagerly sits to get her three chews every morning.

GAME CHANGER
I got this for my small dog with big anxiety. He was so afraid to come out of his kennel to go outside that I would have to take his kennel outside every time I let him out. I can say that this really works for him. He has stopped shaking and he’s excited to go outside! What a difference. I tried a different product and it made him worse! He was growling at me! I love this product and wish I had tried it sooner.

Made dog sick
This gave our dog diarrhea on the hour for an entire day and all throughout the night. I felt so terrible. We followed the directions on amount to give for first time users. Would not recommend

Dogs do like the taste.
The dogs do appear to like the flavor and they are nice and soft so they can eat them easily. We purchased to relieve their anxiety of being around other dogs. They are scared to death of them and are very reactive. I have not noticed any change in their behavior since taking these. Have been taking them for several weeks so far and will continue to use til the jar is used. At that time we will decide whether to continue or not.

Work pretty well on our very anxious Pomeranians
Not the panacea I was hoping for, but these work pretty well with our anxious Poms (9lbs and 11lbs--I give them 2/day each, one in the a.m. and one in the p.m.).We have two sisters from the same litter so, for the last 6 years, they have reinforced in each other a need to bark at ANYTHING that moves or makes a sound within a 200+ yard radius. They're naturally very high strung and have an inordinate amount of separation anxiety on top of that. It can be incredibly annoying to get very little reprieve from their shrill, constant yapping. But, more importantly, the impact that being so perpetually anxious has on their adrenal glands and mental health can be horrible for them, so anything we can do to make them less anxious is a big asset to their welfare. So I finally decided to ask the vet for some kind of remedy to their incessant barking and anxiety, and she recommended these.Impressively, their barking HAS decreased--not as much as I'd like, but enough to say they DO work. They also, for the most part, calm down more quickly whenever they DO get into a barking fit. These do have a yeasty powdered coating so they smell kind of funny. One of my dogs doesn't like the smell AT ALL, so she refuses to eat them unless I break them in two and she can smell and lick the center first. But they are crumbly, so I have to cut them with a knife or they make a huge mess. But, considering it has taken their anxiety down a few levels, I'd say these are a good investment for high strung dogs.

Shocked at the results!
We have a 1 year old pit bull/pointer mix that weighs about 75 pounds and is very strong. He had such bad separation anxiety that he would destroy things in the house (furniture, books, dog beds, etc) and the house itself (window sills, carpet, etc) while we were gone, so we started crating him in a metal crate, but after we left he would frantically try to escape which he did over and over all while physically harming himself to do so. His face would be bloody and swollen when we got home from trying so hard to get out and forcing himself through the weak spots. It took two days of using these treats to see a night and day difference in him. Before he would slobber so much that he would be soaking wet along with the crate and the floor around it from the stress - now, nothing. He’s happy to go in the crate and stay in with his toys and he does amazing. No more escape attempts, no more hurting himself, no more slobber even. He’s so much happier and so are we! We were so worried that he would seriously hurt himself and these were our last ditch effort so we are really happy with the results. The treats don’t make him sleepy or different than his normal self, he’s just more level and happy. Even if we crate multiple times a day as we come and go the one dose at the beginning of the day keeps him consistently calm.

Simply didn't work
We have a dog that is very nervous about storms. I was really hoping these would help. Unfortunately, they have no effect on her whatsoever. She accidentally got a double dose one day because I gave some to her around midnight and then my husband gave her some around noon the next day, not knowing that I had already given her daily allowance. Still, absolutely nothing happened. No change in behaviour, mood, anxiety level, nothing. We don't give them to her daily, only when we know a storm is coming. We have no problem getting her to eat them though, like other reviewers have indicated. She snarfs them down like any other treat, so that is probably just a dog-to-dog preference.

Effective
I have been buying these for my husky since he was a puppy, he is now two years and very energetic. Some days I can't give him as much play as he demands and these really help him calm down and allow me to work, lol. Since he's heavy and high energy I give him 3 at once and that does the trick within 30 mins. If your dog is smaller, obviously give a smaller amount!! But these work great for us.

Still on the fence
First off, I want to say the customer service is AMAZING!! When I bought the treats, customer service sent me an email as to how to use the treats, dosages, etc. It was very sweet to know they care that much. Some days my dog will scarf the treats down, some days she isn’t interested & you have to almost bribe her.I think they make her tired which is good. I found the first few times she had them, she didn’t eat much of her regular meals those days. She stills gets anxious in the car & when we leave, but maybe it isn’t as bad. I think I will give them another try with all of that in mind.

Visible effects
I have an American Eskimo who is the runt of the litter and therefore prone to high anxiety; any little noise sets him off barking among many other things. We worry he will die of a heart attack one day! He also is a foodie and very picky eater; he won't eat just any treat, but he will eat these! He kind of sniffs them out a little bit and then eats them up, so that's worth at least two stars from me. I give the other three stars because the change is very visible after he takes the treats. It does not make him sleepy like I feared it might, but he's MUCH calmer. He doesn't freak out about every little noise now and just hangs out with us calmly. He still barks when he hears the door, but not as much and I believe this is more of a behavioral thing than an anxiety thing. I can see a difference and to me he seems a lot happier.

Calming Effect for Anxiety
My dog (Frenchton) has anxiety when he is left alone in the house and would howl at the window even when we left music on for him. We tried putting him in the crate but would come back to drool all over and he would be shaking. I've been giving him two every morning with his breakfast for a few weeks now and I notice a difference. He still sits by the window but we can't hear him howling when we pull up into the yard now. Instead he is calm and comes to greet us at the door. We have only left him for a few hours at a time and gradually have been increasing the time but I think this has helped him calm down enough to learn that we will be back soon and feel safer alone. Also, I notice that he has a deeper sleep than he used to which I think makes him an overall happier dog. He used to jump up at every little noise when he was asleep and now he snores through noises or just opens his eyes and then relaxes again.I will be purchasing these again as I think they have helped him.
