Surefire P2ZX Fury CombatLight LED

This is one hell of a light, very bright. I bought the holder to go along with it, it fits nice on my duty belt and won't fall out when running. The reason I'm only giving this light 4 stars is the fact that it absolutely CONSUMES batteries. I find that with limited use I can get about 2 to 3 weeks out of a set of batteries, and those babies are not cheap.

I own a couple of other Surefire flashlights. Surefire lights were overpriced in the past, so I stopped looking at their products & bought a couple of Fenix lights instead. When I saw this light with this power level for that price, I thought it was a misprint.There are absolutely no compromises with this light. The versatile grip, the materials, the compact size, the quality and the incredible brightness are perfect (and I'm not easily impressed). I tested it in complete darkness in my large back yard & it lit up the entire yard and most of my neighbor's yard as well. The light's beam is perfectly focused and there is plenty of spill around the center spot. There are no dark rings or spots. There is only one setting on this particular model - the blinding 500 lumens. Surefire also makes models with different brightness levels on the same light, but I only needed one level. If you want an emergency light for power blackouts, rather than a combat light, I'd recommend one of their dual-output lights to extend runtime on the lower settings.The light comes with batteries already installed and a well-designed lanyard. Surefire's batteries are also now reasonably priced.This is a perfect bedside light & the design allows a perfect grip with a pistol in the other hand. The momentary switch is exactly what is needed on a combat light and the amount of pressure needed to activate the light can be adjusted for individual preference. The lockout tailcap switch is a very desirable feature - especially on a light this powerful.

This is a bad ass light and has a strong center punch but also covers a wide area around the center beam. That can be great and can cause a lot of splash back against things like white porch columns, white doorways etc. The rubber ring is superb for the methods I use. The instant on adjustable end cap is something I really like because you can unscrew it to ensure the light will not come on by accident but can also tighten for always on. The striking face makes this a good backup weapon when scanning around corners using the head index method. It's larger than I expected and the Comptac belt holster I ordered for it is pretty big on your belt for pure concealment but this is a truly professional light. Batteries are economical and highly available. This light sits on my bedside every night and I use it for low light IDPA competitions and training classes. Let me just say the Harries (TV cop) method of using a light is just stupid. Either head index one side or the other. Or use the surefire method pressing with palm and holding ring between fingers for many side benefits and much faster more accurate fire.

This light is great - perfect for a single purpose hand held combat light. It has one speed - full bore. By the way if your looking for the perfect speed draw holster for this light. Go get yourself a Blade Tech pepper spray belt holster . As luck would have it a can of Fox Pro pepper spray is the same diameter as the bezel of the Fury. The light is not a big time throw machine. it's meant to blast a wall of light on your target - it will easily light up and throw way out past a hundred yards. But it's more of a wide beam than a narrow beam focused to 300 yards. This light is Perfect for what it was designed for. By the way Sure Fire does not list this for a weapon mounted light. my guess is it would not stand up to that. Hand held it's great.As a side note I ordered one from the same knuckle heads that gave the other reviewer the run around. After three weeks they refunded my money and I bought one from Amazon Prime got here in 2 days.

My issue is simple. I really appreciate the many (10+) Surefire products that I own and I'm reasonably confident that I'd really like the Surefire P2ZX Fury Combatlight, if I had received it from the supplier that I hooked up with through Amazon. I was told the light shipped out, but 2 weeks later..... no light received. When I checked on it, I received the run-around for another 2 weeks with no light. Finally, the vendor let me know that they didn't have the light in stock and that it would take another month or 2 to receive the light. Then, they cancelled the order.I re-ordered the light from another source and have yet to receive it. In fairness, this site said it would be 4 weeks to receive the light as it was backordered.I was very disappointed with Amazon's lack of concern for customer service. After waiting for my light to be delivered and giving up on Amazon to make the situation right.I have had good luck with Amazon in the past, but this situation wasn't positive.BTW - Surefire lights are awesome tools. I would highly recommend them. Amazon is another matter entirely.Sad in Salt Lake City

Great flashlight for patrol duties! I use this flashlight nightly. It fits perfect on the duty belt and is easy to remove and stays secured in its holster when not in use. It does eat batteries quickly (only use the Surefire ones) but you can get a box of 20 for like 9 dollars or something like that. Just keep spares nearby.The light is amazing! It illuminates everything in its beam an then some. Shine it in a drivers window and the whole interior of the car lights up. It is very blinding though! Don't play around or accidentally shine it in a co--workers face. They wont be pleased with you. I've actually had complaints form the public about it's brightness. Oh well. Its a must have a night.Highly recommended for law enforcement and security.
