Good headset for gaming on the go, not so much compared to new wireless options.
Sound 6/10Build 10/10Microphone 6/10Comfort 8/10Overall 7/10I would absolutely recommend it for someone shopping for headsets on a budget. If you are gaming on the go with whatever handheld device of choice, it is a nice to have. On airplane, train, or in a car, it's nice to not need to rely on the battery power of your headset, but also have some over the ear comfort combined with decent sound. The sound output and microphone input could be better, but keep in mind this is relying on being powered by the device it is plugged into. I did not have another wired headset to compare it with, but from what I remember, this headset is as good as it can get for wired.Wireless still reins supreme, but if you need something cheaper and does not require setup, or battery power, this will more than satisfy your need.

1st Gen Way Better
I quite liked the 1st gen Astro A10 better. Maybe because the 1st gen was made when Skullcandy and Astro were collaborating together. Now that Astro collaborates with Logitech, the 2nd gen sounds and feels very cheap. (No wonder the 2nd gen looks like the new logitech g435/g733 headphones!) The 2nd gen A10 feels softer on the top of my head and ears especially when I wear my glasses and more stylish than the 1st gen. However, I realized that when I’m gaming for more than 3 hours without taking breaks, my ears and the sides of my head start to hurt, which is due to the limited swiveling of the ear cuffs. So, if your ears are positioned awkwardly, you may start to feel that rubbing/burning sensation that I often feel. The 2nd gen is also more lightweight, which is pretty awesome to travel with, but if you hold it with one hand and shake it, you can feel how cheaply made it is. (Doesn’t matter if they’re made to be flexible and withstand children as well as their obnoxious way of setting headphones down)

Busted!
As soon as I plugged it it I could only hear out of one ear. I had to slightly pull the cord out of the headset for audio to work in both ears. I got on Modern Warfare to test the mic out and it wasn't registered my voice unless I shoved the mic down my throat. Then I had someone join my party and I couldn't even hear them. I checked my settings on my Xbox and everything was where I left it last with my last headphones. Super disappointed in this purchase.

Decent Headset - Mic doesn't work
Its a decently looking headset and comfortable. Sound is good. Fits over the ears nicely however the microphone does not function at all. Looking at other solutions and saw that I had to push the cable in further as it doesn't go all the way in sometimes. Did that and heard the click to know it is in all the way however the microphone still didn't work. Looking at the reviews this seems to be a common problem. Too much of a hassle to send in the faulty headset and wait and hope I get a new one that actually works. Luckily I don't "need" the mic as I have a Blue Yeti mic but it would've been nice to have the working version of the product that is being advertised. If you need a headset that you only need for hearing sound then go ahead and buy it if you want, but if you need a headset with a microphone that works then purchase a different headset/brand instead of hoping you'll get lucky in the mail.

Some issues I had with this headset right out of the box
First and foremost I'd like to say I really like this headset however I have come across a few issues that people should take into account before blowing 60 dollars on this headset.1. The flip up feature doesn't work you have to mute manually2. Your friends can hear whatever video you're currently watching or music you're listening to3. The headset in itself has a bit of difficulty staying on if you bend your head down, I personally am constantly readjusting it.
