Cricket batting practice just became easier!
Bratia hanging cricket ball for batting practice is a great way to improve the batters hand eye coordination and shot timing skills independently. The vibrant red ball with molded stitching patterns is made of a hard PVC material that feels very durable. The ball is about 3” in diameter and has a small hole through the center for the cord to go through. The black cord is approximately 12’ long and has a lot of stretch to it. A 10” section stretched to almost 14” so care will be needed to hang the ball where it will have ample room for the cord to stretch upon impact. The ball has been made to “withstand repeated powerful shots without cracking or deforming.” The cricket practice batting ball is ideal for batting practice without needing a bowler. It can be used outdoors in a backyard, or in an open garage during inclement weather. The batter can independently improve reaction time, track the ball, and strengthen ball hitting. The practice ball is appropriate for all skill levels and ages. It is a great value for your money and a great way for the novice to begin development of skills economically. I love that Bratia is a small business providing cricket sports equipment in the USA.

Not as shown
Not as show in the photo has a black string and ball is hollow to pass the string which makes is lighter. They had a much better one before.

Great tethered practice ball — even works well for backyard T-ball practice
I got this hanging cricket practice ball for my grandson, who is learning to play T-ball/baseball, and it has worked out really well for that purpose. Even though it is sold as a cricket training aid, I think of it more like a tethered baseball practice ball. The product description is accurate. The ball is hard PVC, the cord feels sturdy, and the whole setup seems durable enough for repeated batting practice. The big benefit for us is that it lets him practice hand-eye coordination and swing timing without the ball flying across the yard or over the backyard fence. A few things I like: Good for solo practice Helps with timing and eye/hand coordination Keeps the ball contained Solid, durable feel Excellent value for the money For our use, this is a simple but very useful training tool. It may be intended for cricket, but it crosses over nicely for young baseball or T-ball practice too. I’m very pleased with the quality and durability so far. I recommend the seller list it for T-ball/baseball too.

Massage ball, anyone?
I am not a cricket player (sorry). However, reading a critical review of this item which complained about the fact that the ball is "hollow to pass the string" gave me an idea: massage/trigger point ball on a string. I've tried items ready-made for that purpose with disappointing results (too soft/squishy for my preferences), so I reasoned that a ball meant to be struck with a cricket bat would be up to the task. The material quality is certainly better than that of foam massage balls, and feels much more durable. The ball is ~2.8in/71mm in diameter, and if it is, in fact, hollow as the other review claims, its walls are very thick, so it deforms very little under considerable weight. The included string is approximately 12-feet long, and can stretch by 15-20%. For my use, I would prefer something more robust like paracord, but it is acceptable. I do not recommend that you remove the string from the ball unless you have tools to put it back in (I used wire and a 12" upholstery needle). I cut the string to my desired length and added knots at the ends to prevent fraying, and on either side of the ball to keep it centered. It can be used on the floor, but the string is beneficial for when the floor is not an option, allowing me to quickly target any trigger point on my back when reclined against a door or wall. The ball retains its shape and can apply a moderate amount of pressure (a smaller diameter would be needed for deeper pressure). I'm certainly not the target consumer for this product and can't comment on its usefulness for batting practice, but I'd recommend it as a trigger point ball if you've been unhappy with purpose-made items for that application.

Durable!
Perfect practice ball. The rope and ball is very durable so you can hit, punch or swing and it still stays secure. It’s perfect size and the ball has great bounce. This is a great versatile practice ball that can be used for various sports. This is excellent value for the price. We use this for everything it’s great to setup in the backyard.

Perfect partner for solo practice sessions
Glad to see some cricket-related products on Amazon. With free shipping, it makes shopping for cricket items easy. My kids' coach recommended practicing with a hanging ball for hand-eye coordination and footwork. Set up is easy with the provided thread. When practicing with this ball, the ping and feel are close to a leather ball. It didn't damage the English willow bat. The return rhythm is predictable enough to find a flow quickly and stay focused. It's a simple, rugged tool that takes the excuses out of training when you are solo or when the weather doesn't support outdoor practice. If you are serious about your footwork and timing and don't want to rely on a bowling machine, this is a no-brainer for your cricket kit.

Great cricket practice ball
I got this hanging cricket ball for my son to practice batting at home, and it works really well. The ball is made of hard PVC and feels strong, just like a real cricket ball. It hangs nicely and comes back after every hit, so he can practice alone without needing anyone to bowl. It has really helped him improve his timing and hand-eye coordination. For the price, the quality is very good, and it’s perfect for home or backyard use.

Great product
This is a great product for what it's meant for but I purchased it as an off label usage so to speak. Because it is a cricket practice ball with a whole drill through it and a rope attached to it, I am going to use it to help me determine where to pull up in my garage with my car. I'm going to suspend it down from the ceiling and this way I know when I touch the ball and move it I've gone far enough ahead in the garage. Lol. I know it's a silly use but I think it's going to work fabulously!
