This is no Hocus Pocus!!!!! It will set your life FREE!!!!
This is the book that finally set me FREE! What I mean by that, is after 4 years of searching for how to take control of my life(living a life with A.D.D.)with out confusion or illusive philosophy (which I love real philosophy) or the Aurthur only telling you enough to buy their next big book that turns into a cycle only to bleed your pockets. This book is truly selfless and straight forward with the truth. The reason I know is because I have started my cold training and for the first time I truly feel alive and free. The cold is now my favorite teacher thanks to Wim and Justin. This book is all about stepping outside our comfort zone and conquering our fears. I do not have one friend or family member who does not think what I am doing is crazy. The reason is because we as humans have taken the path of least resistance and stayed in that comfort zone. And in this comfort zone lies a sickness that will crush your very spirit. For those that wish to take back their life or change their life, this is the one book you need! There is no SECRET in this book, you do not have to search for the answer. You must empty your cup, open your mind, believe in your self and step outside your comfort zone. I promise you, once you start to see what I have only begun to see. You will be forever grateful just as I am forever grateful and thankful for what Wim and Justin has shown us in this book. This is a lifestyle change that you will never regret. But please use caution and never ever force your training. I have lived with spondylitis (arthritis that attacks the spine and pelvis with crippling effects) for the last 10 years. At the age of 30 it has become unbearable to tolerate the pain, and I refuse to end up in a wheelchair. I believe Wim in what he has done with his ability to heal himself and take control of his mind and body just as much as I believed in joining the Army during a time of war as an Infantry Soldier to fight for my country and my family. What other people call miracles is an everyday achievement for Wim. This man has and still is defying science and medical history! The cold has become my daily medication, I never thought I would be sad when the winter months start to fade. I look forward to help Wim in his journey to spread and show people that they are capable of so much more and to help take their life back by stepping outside their comfort zone and into the cold. I see that a couple of reviews mentioned editing issues, honestly the information in this book is priceless in my eyes. I was able to read it and re-read it with no problem. If your decision in buying this book is a make or break due to few minor editing issues, then you need to ask your self truly and honestly, how much is your life worth?

Wim Hof is amazing
I read this book a long time ago and I have also studied with Wim and continue to study with him. Yes there are spelling errors as pointed out by others and some of it is Justin's story... However this is one of, if not the most inspirational person on the planet today. He's giving away his secrets/methods in the book which is priceless, but worth the price of the book for that section alone. Wim's story is so inspirational and shows that one can do anything and that it is all mind over matter. No one on our planet is doing what Wim is doing and especially at his age (50's). To have his story and methods to do what he does is priceless. If you want to change your life follow the methods in the book and your life will be instantly transformed.

Inspiring, but suffers from poor editing
First, if you're not aware of who Wim Hof is, look up his death defying feats of cold resistance on YouTube. Be prepared to be amazed at the human potential for the supernatural.Second, a disclaimer: this book is not a guide on how to become the Iceman. Or rather, it is not *just* a how-to - it's primarily the story of how Wim (and now Justin) came to be Icemen.Wim Hof and Justin Rosales recount their life stories in a fashion reminiscent of diary entries. Together, they form a picture not only of how the original Iceman came to be, but also of how Justin Rosales met and studied under Wim Hof, going from an ordinary guy to spiritual brother of the Iceman. They cap it all off with world-record setting 5k and 10k runs, respectively, in the snow and ice.Their stories succeed in inspiring, especially if you've seen Wim's videos online, and their methods are well documented (with disclaimers, of course) in the back of the book. Wim's most impressive accomplishment is his ability to control his autoimmune system through meditation, which could have profound health impacts throughout the world were it a common ability. Justin, meanwhile, shows an intense grit and determination to reach his goals, at one point sleeping only 2 hours a night for a month in order to fulfill his academic requirements and to raise enough money to train with Wim.While the content is good, the editing could have been sharper, more to the point. The beginning meanders for the longest time before Justin even hears of Wim Hof or vice versa. Meanwhile, the diary-style entries aren't exactly poetry, oftentimes dragging on, or in Wim's case, occasionally exploding with italicized revelations. To be fair Wim's first language isn't English and Justin never made any claims toward being a great American writer - he is a psychology major in college. On the upside, it's good to be able to hear the excitement and authenticity in these two authors' voices, but it could have kept that authenticity and excitement while being considerably lighter than 47 Chapters.Overall, a worthwhile read with feats to amaze and inspire, but don't read it expecting a masterful combination of scientific and investigative narrative like Chris McDougall's Born to Run. Instead, read it for what it is - the story of two men out to conquer themselves in the cold, in their own words.

Your body is capable of incredible achievements and everyone can do it. This book is beautiful in the detailed descriptions and documenting the progress you can gradually achieve. I tried myself a short few second barefoot walk in the snow and it so awesome that I can suggest it to everyone. Such a nice feeling of the fresh snow was amazing. Read it and try it and you will see it is worth to try to change one's habits and try something new. Thanks the authors, I believe this book opens up new horizons to work with your body and mind.

Não atendeu as expectativas.
Possui erros básicos de inglês, faltou uma boa edição. A parte do Justin poderia ser resumida em um capítulo, tem muito detalhe que não interessa.
